If you’re looking for special pieces that are unlikely to be seen out and about, some fabulous brands to consider shopping right now —
01. Molli. Since 1886, this brand has dedicated itself to the art of knitting. They have ateliers located in France and Italy that turn out the most exquisite knit dresses (swoon!) and skirts (gasp!). They’re currently running a mid-summer sale, which is a great opportunity to test some of their signature styles while at a discount. This one is in my cart!
02. Phillipa 1970. This Spain-based label has gorgeous resort-wear dresses with intricate detailing and interesting shapes and silhouettes. I’m digging into their sale section and am having trouble whittling down the list of temptations: this spectacular maxi, this ric rac trim blouse, these floral pants?! This dress (seen at top) is well under $200.
03. Matteau. My deeply chic Brooklyn-based sister has been telling me about this brand for years, and specifically flagging their swimwear as superior. They’ve built a name for themselves with this boxy oversized striped breton, and I’m drooling over their broderie collection.
04. Muun. The coolest straw/woven bags. LOVING this and this.
05. Wiggy Kit. Refined resortwear. What I’d love to wear when I grow up — lol. This bib caftan dress is everything I want to be and how fun is this dramatic towelling cover up?
06. Knatchbull. I learned about this smart Savile Row brand from a fellow mom at my daughter’s school, who hosted a trunk show for them last year. This is an investment brand with spectacular tailoring. One of my friends bought a whole suit from the trunk show — it’s something she’ll have forever. Just look at this breathtaking safari blazer, these elegant trousers, this bustier dress!
07. Kujten for their cashmere bandanas! Love the new multi-color ones and will be eyeing for fall…I have and love the small bandana style in pink.
08. La Veste. Playful boho chic. I own and adore this terry tassel cover up but their striped pants are having a moment among the street style set!
09. Call It By Your Name for quilted bandana accessories. I have a few of their light-hearted pieces, but I truly use this toiletry bag daily! I transfer it from bag to bag. It has my initials on the side!
10. Maria del Orden. This brand has such a great sense of perspective. Nipped, high waists; shirting stripes; smocking and puff sleeves. Love this shirt and this dress. The colors are dynamic!
P.S. Going to update this after I return from my trip, but: the best European pharmacy finds.
