What are we wearing on our feet right now? I absolutely adore these suede boat shoe mules I’ve been yapping on and on about. The silhouette, the slight lug sole, the cozy foot feel are just perfect. These lug-sole clog mules by the same brand have been super popular among Magpies the past week — Prada vibes (compare with these).
I must also spotlight two absolutely perfect buy-now-wear-forever tall boots to consider if you’re in the market. The first are the Loeffler Goldys (below left), beloved and best-selling since their launch in 2019, and for good reason: they are a classic silhouette that will never go out of style and they are 30% off today only in the safari brown (lighter colorway). The second (below right) are these gorgeous Inez Paloma boots, hand-made in Spain. They have a slightly lower heel (3″ versus Goldy’s 3.5″) and come in a rich chestnut suede, a glossy croc, or a black leather. I’m drawn to the croc but I do think the suede is fabulous and the texture contrast would be welcome alongside other fall materials. These boots are known for their comfort (have a proprietary cushioned footbed) and come in an extended calf option, too. This company just seems to take its footwear seriously.

01. These flats are spectacular and bring to mind a pair Chanel released this season.
02. Very into the toe-box shape of these Fonteyns from Margaux. I ordered in the navy! Major wardrobe gap for me til now!
03. Mid calf heeled boot — easily my most-worn autumn boot. A perfect silhouette, heel height, and color. Of course not included in the Loeffler Friends and Family sale (ugh, my toxic trait is finding the one item excluded from promotion) but I really do reach for these constantly.
04. Eel-embossed smoking slippers. These look a lot like the “Belgian loafers” you can buy from a small boutique on the UES.
05. Miu Miu deck shoes. Drool! I love the iterations they keep making on boat shoes! Chic chic chic.
06. These shearling-lined mules I can’t stop yapping about. The coolest shoe in my closet! Look great with jeans, Donnis, Rutis, the whole lineup!
07. Handmade clog boots. I’ve had a pair of these since I live in NYC. Super cozy and practical (can withstand rain/sleet/sludge) and the silhouette is chic!
08. These blossom suede flats. More Chanel vibes, but $155. That color is so perfect! Pair with red, with navy, with brown!
09. I can’t stop thinking about these Prada suede ballerinas. If I were going to splurge this season on footwear, it’d be these.
10. Timeless classic — just restocked in the best amaretto color. Probably my most-worn flats? Incredibly elegant on the foot. Not my most comfortable flat (being real here — these feel like Chanels to me, like a sort of flat, hard, unforgiving sole), but they are gorgeous and go with everything.
11. Leopard calf hair mules. I saw a chic pea wearing these in Middleburg and promptly put them in my cart. I loved the silhouette on her foot!
12. Wardrobe staple for fall — available in a variety of colors. I recently picked up the fun cobalt blue, inspired to play with more color! I also love that purple suede. Use code MAGPIE10.

14. For true winter weather: I get a lot of wear out of these. I’ve had TWO friends see me wear them and order a pair on the spot!

17. I swear by these Una flats. These are my top rec for a fall travel flat. They are insanely comfortable right out of the box but look really elegant and interesting/different. Can be worn with jeans just as easily as a dress / skirt.
18. Timeless pointed toe bootie. Aren’t these beautiful?! A classic! A class act! From the aforementioned Inez brand, suddenly very high on my radar!
