+THINGS WORTH REMEMBERING: Loved this sweet list from Shiza as we round out this month. July always does feel like a slow stretch of a month. Far enough from the memory of school, thick into the heaviness of summer. I loved these reminders:

+Very into the ease of a loose-fit cotton popover right now — love this classic from F+E (which I own in a few colors — a great alt to a white tee) and then discovered the coolest striped popup collar variation from brand Mersea. I ordered in the blue and white but it comes in a few great colors.

+Loving everything at Apiece Apart right now, but especially these pants! Really sharp in black and really cool in the other various colors.
+APL just launched a new “veil” running shoe that I ordered. It sounds incredible — insanely lightweight and slip-on (you cinch with the toggle). I took basically a year long hiatus from running. I’ve been intensively training on the Peloton and doing a combo of Heather Robertson and Melissa Wood Health strength training videos after. But once the air turns cool in late September, I LOVE to clip back into running and these will be my “get up and go” shoes.

+A MAN DIVES FOR HIS WIFE: I was deeply moved by this story of a husband who has been diving to search for his wife since she disappeared in tsunami 10 years ago. It reminded me of the recent heartwarming moment where NASA astronauts named a bright spot on the moon after the late wife of Reid Wiseman, and the musing I wrote about that moment (seen below as well), especially the line: “I can’t tell you the wild hope this gives me, the way we search for the deceased in the faces of flowers and asterisms, the great distances we go to honor the departed, the seeking stelliscript of the heart.”
