+THE WRONG SHOE THEORY: Have you heard about this? The idea is that you look much fresher / more modern when you pair the unexpected shoe with the outfit. So instead of reaching for a sandal, you wear a sneaker, or instead of a polished flat, you slip into some boat shoes. I practiced this theory this week, styling breezy boxer style shorts with my favorite ballet flats (almost sold out in my denim, but tons of other colors — I’d strongly rec the butter yellow for summer). Honestly, I do prefer these slightly to Margaux because I prefer the elongated toe box — it’s more flattering on my very small feet / petite legs! I feel like it elongates the leg. I’m in the middle of reading The God of the Woods right now! So good. I was disappointed by my original summer reading pick (Mansion Beach) but this book has me back in the groove. My audio picks right now are The Diary of a Provincial Lady (very entertaining) and Secrets at Sea (for driving with the kids – so sweet).
