I was, honestly, shocked to see that this Faherty striped sweatshirt for men was a topseller for a few weeks earlier this spring. Were we buying this for our husbands? For ourselves for a “borrowed from the boys” moment? Either way, knowing that so many of you appreciated that rec, and seeing that we’re a month out from celebrating Father’s Day, I thought I’d share a few other great buys for men for this spring-to-summer season, including a few items I recently snagged for Landon, like these polo shirt upgrades from Criquet: one terry (he likes to wear with his swim trunks to/from the pool) and one performance (don’t men look handsome in stripes?).

01. This button-down is SO ATTRACTIVE on. Landon owns in several colors, and we both think it’s appeal has to do with the button placement. It unbuttons to “just there,” just the right amount of skin with the top two buttons undone. Comes in tons of great stripe options. I would err on the side of sizing up in this — runs pretty trim. (Landon’s typically a M but takes an L in this.) For dress shirts, he has good luck with Eton brand. We just bought four different ones from this brand from a menswear boutique in Charleston, M. Dumas!
02. Terrycloth polo — one of Landon’s favorite pieces! Per note above, he’ll usually throw this on with a pair of swimming trunks when going to the pool/beach.
03. Splurge swim trunks (also love this pattern) — I’ve bought Landon a few pairs of these over the years; he loves them. Quince has some “Italian-inspired” (short) trunks that caught my attention, too. Good patterns!
04. Classic ecru shorts.

22. Smathers and Branson needlepoint belt. You can customize “life belts” there to incorporate special numbers, hobbies, dog breeds, sports teams, states, etc! I made one for Landon for Christmas with an airedale to honor Tilly, the number 18 (his baseball number), UVA sabers, etc!
