Trim + Tidy.

For occasions that call for exceptional pulled-together-ness, I always look for crisp lines and nipped waists.  Something like this chic white topper (on sale for $477):

Crisp with a pair of lace-up flats (Michael Kors, $495) — as you know from this post, these are at the tippy-top of my list.  I’m torn between the high-end Aquazzuras ($675), a fast-fashion pair from TopShop ($45), and this pair from J. Crew in chic snakeskin ($298).  Finish with a clean minimalista tote ($98 — great price!) and a pretty scarf ($108):

Though I swear by these XL-sized cahiers from Moleskine (with grid pages — love that!), I’ve got a crush on this cloth-bound style from D.C.-based company Appntd ($24 — holla back, my 202 friends!) with my favorite pen, LePen ($6 for pack of 3):

This clean white dress from Tibi ($350) also caught my eye — love the fun detail on the sleeve.  Wear with smart-looking Warby Parker glasses ($145):

And add a pair of pointed-toe loafers (M. Gemi, $248 — PS, this shape is all the rage this fall; see master bloggerina Naomi Davis of the epically popular blog LoveTaza in a pair here; hers are an affordable pair — $65 — from here) with a St. Laurent tote ($1,290):
