  1. I felt a hint of panic that summer is almost over and we’re now thinking of fall wardrobes!

But that olive green Ganni jacket is SO good! I love that the collar is detachable for a different look — it doesn’t seem to say that it’s detachable in all retailer websites but it does on Nordstrom’s site . I used to prefer slimmer-cut jackets due to being 5’0″ but that swingy shape is so fun and different (that detail in the back!). I have the opposite situation to MK’s — I already have 3 black jackets in different cuts and have been wanting an olive green one. Aaaahh I can’t stop thinking about it now! Will have to bookmark to see if it comes back in my size!

    1. I’m also hovering around that Ganni with you…I feel like I don’t need another quilted coat but then, to your point, the shape is so interesting and different! Makes it look high-fashion rather than utility. Will also be contemplating this as we creep towards cooler weather.

  2. Jen,

Maybe it’s because it’s my first fall in NY (after years of living in Hawaii), but I’m itching for alllll the fall wardrobe items. Thanks for sharing this list!

What are you most excited about this fall, now that you’re home and close to family?

    1. Yay!! Yes, I LOVE fall! Very excited for it. Such a good question — I have already been daydreaming about Halloween and Thanksgiving in our home/neighborhood, with family over on both occasions. I LOVE holidays and enjoy going all out with decor and special treats and the like, and can’t wait to entertain. I really love the idea of my children trick-or-treating in our neighborhood, which is full of children…!

      xx

  3. That quilted Ganni coat is *perfect* in black (since I have a glut of army green coats already, ha!) — I want it so badly!! It’s a bit out of my price range, though, so I may wait to see if it goes on sale … which I’m sure I’ll regret when it sells out. Haha! But living in Boston, I have an outerwear problem and so really would have to swap something out if I do end up going for it at some point. We shall see! So many good options here!

    xx
