In other news, I took my daughter fall shopping the other day (we cleaned up at J. Crew!) and had to stop and admire this cute little handbag (seen above). It’s funny: I’ve begun to daydream about investing in an Hermes Picotin and the shape of the J. Crew bag is so reminiscent that it immediately grabbed my attention. Finally, Alice Walk’s capes (which sell out every season!) are in stock, as are their fantastic cashmere car coats. I absolutely adore both. I love the cape for things like outdoor fall gatherings (kids party, wine tasting, parents night out, etc) worn over jeans and a slim-fit knit, and the cashmere car coat is my go-to everyday coat. It works over knits (even chunky ones) and feels so cozy and soft — but the coat still has structure / does not, like, pill easily, which was my concern with the fabric. Absolutely gorgeous.
