MAGPIE PELOTON RIDE: I’m jumping on the bike for an Ally Love ride this Tuesday, 1/27, at 8:35 a.m. ( link here)! If you’re free, come join me! I think we have about ten riders right now, which is delightful to me. Ally had me at the playlist: Alanis, Olivia Dean! Yes please. If we like this, we can set up a recurring ride, but maybe a little earlier to accommodate more schedules. We can play with it! One Magpie mentioned that we need a hashtag. Any suggestions?
ANOTHER TICK MARK FOR WHIMSY: Loved this quote from Kahlil Gibran. Another case for protecting the whimsical in our lives, leaving the door open to joy in its smallest shapes.

CLAIR DE LUNE REMIX: I was mesmerized by this riff on Clair de Lune this week. And while we’re talking piano, how about this Rachmaninoff? Love the caption: “Imagine falling in love in 1901 and Rachmaninoff drops this.” This made me think of a great prompt for curating a Valentine’s Playlist: songs that feel like love.
EYEING + BUYING:
This side table we keep in our front living room is now 70% off?! We have it in blue but the other colors are fab, too. We love this so much — we tend to move it around wherever its needed. I’ll bring it over to our game table to rest a cup of tea or a cocktail, or I’ll move it to the side of the couch when someone’s by so its a convenient spot for snacks/drinks. Bonus: it’s so easy to wipe clean.
My beloved desk sweater. Several of you ordered it this week, too. Truly perfect — warm, cozy, soft, great length but has ribbing at the wrists that make you feel “tucked in,” “held,” “hugged.” Reminder that MAGPIE10 gets you 10% off your first order.
So many of you ordered the Mother half pipes in white that were a part of the Tuckernuck sample sale this week; they sold in a flash. I found them on sale elsewhere here, here (<<new to this site but they appear to find bargain deals all over the web), here.
Have been incredible impressed with the products I’ve tried from Eadem (you know I love their “chouchou” lip balms), and this dark spot concentrate is my latest discovery and obsession.
Can’t get over the vision of this ladylike pink dress with these green heels. I mean would they not be perfect for me to wear while talking about Small Wonders?! The heels would also be so good and unexpected with white jeans or a denim skirt this spring…
Charmed by these fabric dandelions. One of the opening pieces in Small Wonders talks about the magic of dandelions — the way we think of them as weeds, but they’re actually a wonder at self-propagation, and of course they carry the wishes of children all over the world. I think I need to order as a memento! Would make a pretty office decor piece.
A fun, chic Valentine to share with your significant other. These are delicious! What a Kit Kat aspires to be.
Julia Berolzheimer shared a segment called “Things I Find Incredibly Chic: Home Edition” — adjacent to my posts about things I find randomly chic in the book and food spaces. One of the things she mentioned was Claus Porto soap, a brand I’d not heard of, but the packaging and descriptions are so fetching! This one is called “spring lettuce” but there are lots of unique scents. These would make an elegant housewarming gift, too.
One of you asked for chic work bags awhile ago, and I came across a really chic brand to consider: has anyone tried Oleada? I love the look of this as an alt for a laptop bag! Sooo chic. Imagine traveling through an airport with her on your arm.
Prada sneakers! Look for less with our favorite M. Gemis (on sale; test code JEN15 for extra discount – not sure if it will layer!)

THE MORE I STUDY HAPPINESS…I’ve been dancing with this theme for weeks now, but this little blurb puts it so clearly. Another reminder, per Lamott, that happiness — peace of mind — is an inside job.

FOR MY CARLEY FORTUNE LADIES: Did you catch this? They do resemble the Florek brothers I’d been imagining but…too clean cut? Too cheesy? Eeek! I had a strange sense of disappointment seeing this. Did you feel the same? Put me right…
