Buffalo Betty.

Buffalo plaid is errrrywhere this season.  And I love it — I’ll take a throwback to 90s flannel any day.  (The whole normcore look going on this past summer was redolent of the mid-late 90s as well, but in a way that I just couldn’t get behind.  Ugh, Adidas sandals.  I remember wearing those with socks (?!), my plaid uniform kilt (rolled up really high), and my faded yellow polo (collar popped), and thinking: “I run this shiznit.”  Grimace.)  But this buffalo plaid trend is delightful.  My top pickeroos below.

+J. Crew flannel shirt ($89).  Gap also has a similar style — I have the navy and white printed one and love pairing it with trim pencil skirts at work.  Banana also has a comparable style available this season.
