Putting together this post put me in the absolute best mood. I put on my Thanksgiving playlist from a few years back, lit a candle, and appreciated the gray November skies outside my studio. A perfect cozy afternoon daydreaming about what we should wear this week. (Also highly instructive — as these posts always are — as it helped me map out what I’m wearing this week!)
But before we get to the outfits — URGENT: 30% off Rothys! If I convince you to try nothing on this blog, trust me on these. I love them so much I bought a second pair in the cozy boucle for this winter, and I also ordered a pair for my bestie. I live in them! They do run a tad bit large; go down a size if you’re between sizes.
What to Wear: Thanksgiving Family Walk.
Thanksgiving morning might be one of my favorite moments of the entire year. We watch the Charlie Brown movie and then the parade while working in the kitchen. The fire is on; the kids are happy; there is an air of anticipation for the afternoon’s meal and visitors. At some point, we force the children out of doors for a midday walk/scoot/bike-ride. I’ll be wearing something like this —

VARLEY PUFFER // LESET POINTELLE HENLEY // SEA MITTENS // MOTHER HALF PIPE JEANS (LOOK FOR LESS HERE) // GINGERBREAD HOUSE TO GO COFFEE CUP // INUIKII BOOTS
What to Wear: Thanksgiving Dinner.
I ended up ordering this tartan dress for Thanksgiving! I kept hoping it would go on sale but ended up snagging at full price. This is the kind of silhouette worth investing in, though — something I can wear this year or in ten. I’ll be pairing with my Paris Texas boots for a little texture contrast. I do something a little sneaky: we take our family Christmas card photo on Thanksgiving. It’s one less (enormous) thing to coordinate each year (kids will already be dressed up on Thanksgiving!), and it somehow feels easier to me to think about what everyone should wear. This year, my kids will be wearing these adorable cashmere kids sweaters from Quince! (Really cute fair isle under $30 here — look at this knit one-piece for a baby!!!) Side bar: this turkey tureen from PB is one of my favorite things! It is always on my Thanksgiving table, usually holding the cranberry sauce, and sometimes used just for decor.

RALPH LAUREN DRESS // JANE WIN PENDANT // ALEX MILL CARDIGAN // TOTEME SCARF // PARIS TEXAS BOOT // POTTERY BARN TURKEY TUREEN // QUINCE CHILDREN’S CASHMERE SWEATER
What to Wear: Black Friday Shopping.

TUCKERNUCK CASHMERE HOODIE AND PANTS // HOTEL LOBBY HOLIDAY CANDLE // CELINE-INSPIRED HAIR CLIP // ROTHY’S CLOGS // 111SKIN EYE PATCHES // CHAPPYWRAP BLANKET
What to Wear: Dinner with Girlfriends in Town.
Wuthering Heights-inflected, obv. This plus a glass of red wine and a heated discussion about whether Jacob Elordi should play Heathcliff.

MEGA EARRINGS // SEA BLAZER // DL1961 JEANS* // CUYANA BAG // $31 WATCH (CARTIER VIBES) // J’ADIOR HEELS **
*I liked the way these jeans looked in flat lay but the actual jeans I would probably rec here are the AYR Legends — on sale!!!! Take your true size. A really good everyday wash and fit.
**Outrageously uncomfortable. You’ve been warned. LOL.
What to Wear: Holiday Cocktails.
We are hosting friends this weekend for a “soft launch of the holidays” party. We’ve done this once before and it’s such a fun tradition: the first glimmer of holiday glitz. I’m thinking of wearing my new velvet blazer with some fun pants. PSA that the blazer sold out at Veronica Beard but is available in a few sizes here — buy now if you love!
BTW — a festive-looking cocktail to try.

VERONICA BEARD VELVET BLAZER // PHILLIPPA 1970 TROUSERS // DOLCE VITA EMBELLISHED MULES // JENNIFER BEHR EARRINGS // ZAFFERANO COUPES* // MADEWELL BAG // COS CUFF
*Random but these are some of my most prized possessions! I like to drink daiquiris and champagne out of them.
P.S. The prayer we say at Thanksgiving. Always makes me tear up.
P.P.S. Golden moments / golden hours.
P.P.P.S. Tiny rescues.
