Despite all of my posts about black, gray, and…more black and gray, I’ve been eying a lot of items on the lighter end of the color spectrum as well, especially since I purchased this white fluted skirt from J. Crew (ob.sessed.) Top of my list: this nubby handknit sweater ($648) in the coziest color pink. (Or get the look for less with this Gap sweater, $44, which comes in an ice blue, or this Zara style in lovely camel, $59.) I like it paired with this flirty skirt (on sale for $119!):
Love the texture and shape contrast. Finish with some great python flats (Alexandre Birman, $530) and this sophisticated tote (only $80?!)
Or — this great simple white nubby sweater ($375 — see above for cheaper version from Gap!) with some gray-wash jeans ($125) and a great pair of flats (love the texture — $139) with a fab scarf (it has a swan print on it! — $195):

Or, how about this sweet lace skirt ($1,649 — get the look for less here) with this boxy blouse ($400 — or, if that’s too wild, this tie neck blouse for a great price) and this covetable Tom Binns tangly pearl necklace ($480):
