When we moved last October, we set a budget for outfitting our new, much larger space. One of the biggest line items? Rugs. We purchased new rugs for every room, as the spaces were larger and we’d more or less destroyed the ones we had. Rugs are, to me, the quickest way to pull a room together. Even with sparse furniture and decor, a good rug can soften and style a space in no time. Below, sharing a roundup of my absolute favorite rugs:

I’m so happy I found this post! I have been itching to change up our Little Nomad playmat in our living room (we don’t have a playroom… small space living in the Bay Area!) to a proper rug. Part of me hesitates due to the inevitable watermelon stains (who knew those would be a pain to treat?!) and what-have-you that my toddler leaves in her wake. But I SO want to have a more proper, “grown-up” look in our living room… your recommendations are giving me lots of ideas! Thank you!
Woohoo! Yes – a rug can make a WORLD of difference. It’s so hard with little kids and their grubby fingers, spills, carelessness, etc — but I think totally worth it to complete the room, even if it means the rug won’t be long for this world…as is probably the case for mini’s brightly colored striped rug.

DO you remeber a blue scalloped tray you posted about recently? Can you email it to me?
