I am enchanted by this season’s dress roster — so many rich patterns and color combinations. I wore this Ulla Johnson rainbow knit midi last week and it is a Very Good Dress. Sometimes these knit dresses bunch and hang in weird ways; this one is a nice, stretchy thin knit that doesn’t add bulk and sort of glides over your body. Gorgeous…! I belted it with an Aureum belt (exact style no longer available, but it’s the No. 2 silhouette in their lineup). I also wore The Great’s Tulsa Dress — a Magpie reader had mentioned she’d bought this in a past-season print and that she felt it was one of the best dresses in her closet. Now I know why. It has a great, flattering shape; I love the slight extension of the sleeves (not totally sleeveless) and the flattering belt. Next on my radar: Altuzarra’s Honey Dress, on final sale. It’s still spendy but that golden buckle detailing and watercolor pattern are beyond gorgeous.
