February is for
snowmelt, the first faint dream of spring, a confusion of weather, brevity, blue jays squabbling at the feeder, denim fatigue, granite skies, the backyard birds depending on our generosity to make it through (a small pittance relative to what they’ve given me), limbs that resist thaw, the earnest, drawn face of days-old snow across the lawn, trees that tell the story of the day (branches heavy with snowdrift, still in waiting, tossed by a sluicing wind, bare or bearing or both), tough love, the purification of cold air and long-wearing patience, these hard-packed things slowly dissolving into thin air

Shopping Break.
+Less-expensive alt for our early morning tee? I ordered in the pink and white to try. Will share thoughts. I’m guessing its not as heavy-weight but could be a good early-spring alternative.
+Even lighter weight option. Love the fit tucked into jeans!
+I’ll layer any of those tees over leggings and a tank before/after exercising (<< just ordered this bright blue colored set as a kind of contrast therapy for February’s eterna-gray. I’ve also never tried Vuori’s all the form style; I love their all the feels line. I think it’s meant to be more performance focused and therefore probably a better fit for my Peloton use case. Will report back on differences! Have I mentioned I love that this brand comes in a short length?! Long leggings are such a drag — they bunch up at the knees.)
+I snagged this depuffing wand while on sale. I’ve heard good things about this! (The theragun mini is also on sale — Landon loves his!)
+The lip liner that convinced me I needed to wear lip liner. (Now I wear it daily, in the color desert rose. It’s the perfect color for me.)
+S&L’s new color options in our favorite kitchen chairs have been popular among Magpies. Even as an accent — a pop of red! So good!
+Very low stock alert on the best bronzer on the market (a few more shades/units here and here). I take a shade 2.
+Have these sneaks in my cart for my daughter!
+Great smoothing tees — super-fitted. These run a little small. Love the new cherry blossom color for spring. On the other end of the spectrum: a body-skimming tee from Alice Walk in a new gray color.
+Designer upgrade to our Rothys clogs.
+The cutest loomed throw pillows.
+Have had a few Magpie ask whether to order the Negative whipped or waffle set. Here are my thoughts: the whipped set is more like lingerie. Slightly sexy, sheer — I really only wear at home. The waffle set is much more versatile. I often wear the top with jeans, over athletic wear, etc, and then of course as a set for relaxing but would feel comfortable wearing this in front of company if circumstances presented. So I guess it’s — what is your use case? Are you looking for the dreamiest at-home private relaxation set for, like, evenings and Sunday mornings? Or are you looking for something a bit more versatile?
