Statement pants have been on our radar this entire summer into fall — the Rutis, the Donnis, the Cadets (wearing above — still available in select patterns and will also restock in September and 20% off today)! I love the slouchy, slightly gamine vibe all of these pants have. An intrinsic cool factor.

JEAN JOGGERS (AT THE TOP OF MY WISHLIST) // POLKA DOT // OLIVE GREEN // BLUE PULL ON PANTS // PLEATED TROUSER // STRIPED PANTS // BLACK PANTS
Casual Everyday Pants.
01. Love these utilitarian-esque pants, and they’ve been a tippy top seller the past week among Magpies who are preening their fall wardrobes. Very much in the Leset/Donni vein but at a more approachable price point. Look great paired with tees (layered tees a la La Ligne if you’re into that look!) now, will thrive with chunky knits come cool weather.
02. Chic elastic-ruched at the ankle — at the top of my wishlist. I’m obsessed with this brand!
03. Vintage-inspired silhouette — these are borderline viral; very difficult to find in stock.
04. These polka dot taffeta pants — of course we’re all obsessed with these Donnis, but the polka dots are so interesting as we head into fall/winter.
05. Easy pull-on pant in sea ranch blue. Alex Mill’s answer to J. Crew’s Luna! Colors are fun.
06. These are worth the hype. A great fit and just so easy to style. They do all the talkin.
07. La Ligne cargo version of the Colby pant. It really is 90s flashback this season — all the pleated khakis, the cargo details!
08. Bubble utility pants. Just cool.
09. Faherty’s take on the pull-on pant trend. I ordered a pair of these to try!
10. These 1940’s-inspired utility chinos from one of our favorite small American brands.
Dressier Pants — Work, Date Night, Etc.
01. These pleated barrel-leg pants are fantastic and well-priced.
02. These in trench coat khaki have sold through! I ordered in the brown walnut color instead. Can’t wait for mine to arrive!
03. La Ligne colby pant — just stocked in new colors! Petites — don’t sleep on the new cropped version! I own in the navy crepe and they are divine but now I think I need those olive satin ones! Use code MAGPIE10.
04. These are FAB and look like something my cool Brooklyn sister would wear.
05. I swear by these Rutis, as you know — perfect for travel.
06. Refined french terry wide leg. They have the feel of a sweatpant but are polished enough for work!
07. Ooh la la, these barrel legs from AYR!
08. True pleated trousers, and they come in a petite inseam!
09. Trim and polished cotton pants.
10. OK, Diane Keaton vibes! Deeply chic.

What size do you take in the cadet pant? I am petite like you and can sometimes wear larger end of youth sizes! Kind of hoping you took a kids size for the savings, even though you probably would have shared if you did!
I took a small and think they run roomy. I could def see the largest kid size working!!
I have the same striped Cadet pants from an impulse purchase during the restock. I’m on the fence about them and think it’s because I’m struggling what to wear with them. I’m thinking maybe a simple white button down or tee. I have Chanel ballets in a patent cerulean blue, but not sure if that would be too much blue. Maybe I’m overthinking all of this. Ha!
I like with a ballet flat! For tops, I really like the pants look with one of these Frank and Eileen popovers:

And also with any sort of rollneck sweater/cardigan —

I just bought my 9yo the cat & jack version of Jean joggers so she can be the trendy one in the family, ha! She is also obsessed with her new joveralls, also from Target. Although she was perplexed by the distressing – “what are these lines for? Something is wrong!” Perilously close to refusing to wear them ever again…
Haha! Love that she has her own mind on the trends! xx
