Sharing the highlights of my outfits this past week below, with a short digest at the top to spotlight a few items I absolutely loved —
+This Doen dress. Airy, breezy, unexpected in chocolate, with a slight nod to the bandana and paisley print trend. Note that I was very confused when the dress first arrived as it’s basically two panels of fabric and you have to tie them together in various ways (and wear a half slip beneath – PSA!), but once I figured that out, I was in love with the look.
+This bandana print bucket bag. I wore this so much this week. It somehow went with nearly everything I wanted to wear and added a fun, on-trend punch of pattern. Its gracious size and ruffle trim make it a true statement, too. If you’re into the vibe, you might also consider Casa Bombon’s fabric bucket bags, which — I have on good authority — have been very trendy in the New England summer escape destinations of Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, etc. Evereve has a good look for less that is not quite as dramatic in shape but still plays with the same vibe. You’ll see it several times below.
+These slip-on boat shoes. Magpies, these are so comfortable, and nail the Miu Miu look for a lot less. I love the effortlessness of the look, especially paired with all these statement pants and shorts we’ve been snapping up. I’ll be wearing mine straight into fall.
And two little shopping alerts, too:
01. Minnow’s sale is on and thriving! I picked up a couple of boardies for Hill for next summer while discounted as well as new striped sweaters for both of my kids for next summer. They are SUCH great sweaters — unisex in the crewneck format, gorgeously plush, and we’ve handed several of them down not just from Emory to Hill but also to cousins and friends. I also love their sweaters for me! I have a past season version of this that I throw on constantly. I have this red stripe one in my cart…wouldn’t it be chic layered over this swimsuit with som terry shorts?!
02. Majorly trending item from yesterday’s post: this new Cuyana clutch. My mom and I both ordered it in the chili color. Sharing all the items in my fall wardrobe here.
Now, onto the week of outfits!
Ramen Lunch!
We worked really hard this summer to dine out with our kids and continue to expose them to a diversity of cuisines, food textures, etc. I think London was a big push that helped (eating out every meal in a foreign city!) but I was over the moon when my daughter woke up last Sunday morning and asked if we could get ramen for lunch. We love Santouka ramen in Tyson’s. Not the most scenic area but the food is excellent and they have a kid’s lunch deal that includes a small bowl of ramen, a pretty substantial serving of karaage and ajitama. Anyway, this was what I wore to the family lunch date —

DOEN DRESS // LEATHER SANDALS // STRAW BAG // DORSEY NECKLACE // DORSEY EARRINGS // NECKLACE PENDANT
Casual Summer Day.
The slide loafers I’ve been raving about! Plus $10 gingham boxers and my favorite summer base layer: this pointelle tank.

SLIDE LOAFERS // SEZANE BUTTON DOWN // POINTELLE CAMI // DORSEY NECKLACE // MONOGRAM TOTE // GINGHAM BOXER SHORTS
Pool Day.
Random note: I’m wearing no makeup in the photo below — just this incredible glowy peptide serum and the tinted moisturizer by the same brand (use code JEN15). One of my weird-ish goals for the summer was to wear less makeup, to even avoid it for entire days. I am trying to challenge myself to focus on great skincare and lots of sleep and water instead. Channeling that woman in Maine energy.

Podcast Recording w Zibby Owens!
What a treat and honor to be invited onto Zibby Owens’ podcast, Totally Booked with Zibby, to talk about Small Wonders (signed copies available here) this week! Zibby is a big deal in the book world. She is a published author, owns a gorgeous independent bookstore in Santa Monica, and hosts this fabulous podcast, which has interview over 2000 authors! I still get a little rush of nerves before doing these interviews. And by “little rush of nerves,” I mean sometimes I sweat through my clothes, sometimes I become so parched I can barely speak, and sometimes I am shaking in my seat. Ha! I remind myself each time that these physical symptoms are just my body’s way of letting me know it’s ready to go. It’s primed! The episode should come out in a few months. Will of course share when it does!

TUCKERNUCK SHIRT DRESS // BANDANA BAG // NECKLACE PENDANT // DORSEY EARRINGS // DORSEY NECKLACE // DENIM FLATS
Cool Stripes.
These pants were stocked and then sold out in a New York minute, but they are still available in a cream stripe and a fab red bandana print. (Scroll down through the kids’ sizes to get to the adult ones, and use EXTRACRISPY for 10% off.) The fit is absolutely fantastic and they are such an easy and fun alt to a sweatpant, pair of jeans, etc for this season! Great for fall with a little suede mule or boat shoe, too.

Morning Things.
I have been loving my morning rituals at home this summer. Wake up, read in bed, then wash my face and slip into a robe before doing my LED mask while I check emails. Divine.
Also, all hail my favorite sheets of all time. They just get softer with every wash and the colors are perfection.

Stripes x Red.
The bandana bag reappears! Why did she work with so many different vibes?! A unicorn bag! Jeans are past-season Rails but I found similar here and here.
