I am loving all the dramatic wool, plaid, and knit capes out this season. A few of my top picks below:
01. Alice Walk!!! I cannot get over this plaid version of their wool cape, but the ivory (seen above) is pretty spectacular too. If I didn’t already own it in the solid brown, I’d order one of these two colors in a heartbeat.
02. Doen’s plaid — different vibe (less structure), but I am just daydreaming about wearing to apple pick, or a fall food festival, or an outdoor oyster fest.
03. This wool blend from Zara is the perfect olive green. Love the idea of pairing it with sharp pants for the office, or layering over anything and everything while traveling this fall.
04. Bring the trend into your daytime wardrobe with this cape-style sweater.
05. More of a ruana, but I love this Ralph Lauren. Layer over an oxford!
06. This belted cape style is so chic, and under $300. My Instagram friend Chrissy wore it at the end of this reel and I loved it on her. (Fellow petite!)
07. J. McLaughlin’s houndstooth poncho! Love. Imagine with a coated kick flare?
08. Love this cableknit cape situation, too. Would be great with the aforementioned coated kick flare, leather, cords…!
