Just placed the most chaotic Amazon order: some last-minute turkey place cards for Thanksgiving, lacrosse goggles for my daughter, this beautiful burgundy ribbon (to top my orange tree), and this wick trimmer. (This time of year, I am burning candles around the clock and you really need to trim the wick down, especially on the Hotel Lobby candles I find, or else they spark and smoke a lot more easily. I therefore find I’m bringing my candles into the kitchen to trim them with kitchen scissors nearly every night; this brass solution can be kept out right next to the candle and used in situu.)
Anyway, while placing the order, I had to clear out about 25 items from my cart. I have a weird process of adding new finds to my cart and then sifting through them to decide if I want to “save for later” or delete. (Do real adults use a wishlist function?)
Here were the items moved to “save for later”:

ORNAMENT // PICTURE FRAME // MUG // FLATS // PLACE CARDS // HAIR CLIPS // PUZZLE // BELT // EARMUFFS
These and more detailed notes below —
01. Love these colored picture frames.

03. Already bought my velvet ribbon for holiday gift wrapping.
05. Currently reading this Magpie reader favorite!
07. These flats look like Le Monde Beryl.
08. Cleansing toner. I found this somewhere on BeautyTok and people were raving about it!
10. Espresso martini ornament.
13. Turkey place cards from Caspari.
15. These Celine-inspired hair clips.
16. These bands are so helpful for organizing linen closets.
17. This candle set would make a great hostess gift.

hahahaha I do the same with my Amazon cart!
OMG! I feel strangely relieved? xx
Laughing at “Do real adults use a wishlist function?” I do!!! But I essentially use it the way you might use save for later – I just keep things I may want to review later or want to remember exist in the wishlist.
It feels like your solution is so much more graceful / less hacky!! xx
Your Amazon process sounds exactly like my process!! And perhaps a magpie’s process, at that.
!! This is such an odd and helpful portal into feeling less weird! Ha! xx
