Trimming the Tree.

By: Jen Shoop

The first thing we did when Mr. Magpie emerged from isolation earlier this week was open a bottle of champagne, turn up the volume on Apple’s “Christmas Cocktail Party” playlist, and trim the tree. I think I will always have the coziest memory of that night — we were joyous! It reminded me that I needed to find one last gift for Mr. Magpie: a new ornament. We’ve been giving each other one special ornament each Christmas and it’s always fun to see what we pick for one another. I bought him this NYC subway train one last year to commemorate our final season in Manhattan. Below, some gorgeous ornaments and tree-trimming/hall-decking finds…

christmas ornaments 2021

RADISHES // KNIT AIREDALE (OTHER BREEDS AVAILABLE!) // SILVER ANGEL // BLONDE ANGEL // DOUBLE DECKER BUS // CARDINAL // BLUE BOW // OWL // GARDEN TROWEL // SWAN // PEAR // CARDINAL // CHAMPAGNE // CERAMIC MUSHROOM // STAND MIXER // ANGEL DOLL ORNAMENT SET // FLOCKED DEER // TARGET SET // CANDY TREES // TREE SKIRT

Also, two utility buys to consider: ornament organizer and the best tree stand in the world. (Seriously, read the reviews of that stand! I’ve turned about 34,000 people onto it.)

Even more ornaments below…

P.S. More holiday finds here.

  1. Wow, those dog breed ornaments!!! I immediately ordered several, including a golden for my brother and SIL who had to say goodbye to their sweet dog this year. The garden trowel and stand mixer are pretty great, too.

  2. I’ve looked high and low for a specific tree ornament for my adult son. When he was little he LOVED to wear his yellow rain boots outdoors. My neighbors used to (and still do) identify him by his yellow rain boots. If anyone sees this item, please let me know.
    Thank you.
