A quick shopping note because I encountered a couple of great sales/launches not to miss, and some of these items are flying —
01. Rhoback is running an end of summer sale, and my favorite color of THE cool mom short are included, as is this fitness dress (40% off!) plus loads of great buys for guys. My mom gave all the men in my family one of these q-zips last Christmas; grab now while 30% off. Or a handsome performance polo! I got Landon these red mesh shorts.
02. 15% off these fancy French hairbrushes through tomorrow! You can take a quiz to figure out the best style for your hair, but I own the no. 1, which gives my hair so much volume and shine. I use it at night and in the morning. The Yves Durif is still my go-to for post-shower detangling and any time I want to tidy my hair without removing any of the curl/styling. Both are, in my opinion (and that of many Magpies who wrote in), independently worth it.
03. Select colors of these viral/best-selling striped poplin pants from Cadets were restocked this morning and have already been selling through. I’d signed up for one of the striped pairs and managed to snag first thing this morning. Use code EXTRACRISPY for a discount.
04. I just got back from a trip to the mall with my daughter (photo above snapped while waiting outside her dressing room door!) — I wanted to buy a couple of slightly nicer everyday outfits for our trip to London/Norway, as she has been living in athletic wear this summer (day camps, tennis camp, swim!). We had really good luck at Uniqlo, Zara, and Lilly Pulitzer actually. She’s not really a Lilly P. type but they were running a big sale that Zappos is currently matching online (even though the online Lilly P is not). We got these shorts and a matching tee (not online sadly). While researching this, I discovered Janie and Jack did a collab with Lilly and many of those pieces are discounted, too. At Uniqlo, she was immediately drawn to these pleated skirts, which we lucked out with in pink! She is such a surprise. A pink pleated skirt!? Be still my heart but this would not have been what I would have thought she’d select. Anyway, the skirts have built-in shorts and are really soft and comfortable. We also got a few of their boxy-cut AIRism tees. Zara was great for jean shorts and solid tees. Simple basics but I just feel like everything looks a little more polished.
05. Currently completely obsessed with European knitwear brand Molli. They’ve been around since the 1800s and are known for their expertise in knitting. I am swooning over this mid-summer sale and not sure which to begin with. (Has anyone ordered this brand?! Does it run small?). Inventory is going fast, but I’m eyeing this skirt or this dress.
06. A great travel day / athleisure set that’s on sale plus 50% off: these pants, this half-zip. The whole set for around $100! The inside of these pieces are insanely soft — like a Barefoot Dreams blanket.
P.S. Wearing this crossbody while shopping today. All hail the crossbody for serious shopping. Hands free! Other great shopping crossbodies: this TB and this Maison du Sabre which I own in green but is on sale in a great sky blue. (This will also be on sale in the Nordstrom annual sale starting on Tuesday!)
P.P.S. Also above: wearing the HHH Delphine skirt in a past-season print — I’ve written about this skirt before but it’s basically like wearing pajamas while out and about. Looks so cute but is SO comfortable, with stretchy smocking at the waist. I love the brown gingham and pink stripe options out right now. This skirt looks amazing with a button-down or a simple white tee (I wore this perfect tee with it). Paired with my huaraches!
A demain!
