I am seeing wrap skirts pop up everywhere — whether they are mini or maxi, fancy or casual, wrap skirts are a serious micro-trend. I love the casual vibe they project: oh, I just tied this on. I had to snag this adorable mini from Hill House’s most recent launch — the pattern is SO good and on-trend for right now. It’s a faux wrap style with a side zip. It looks adorable with a white tee and sandals. This is the kind of thing I might wear to a FOJ parade, a backyard BBQ. Not the best for sitting, FYI — it’s very brief! — so just bear that in mind. I also find this style runs small — I’d suggest going up a size. I styled with the BEST packable sunhat (OMG, this is SO good, and it has UPF50 sun protection!), Margaux ankle wrap sandals, a tee from Goldies (use code JEN15), this Altuzarra clutch, necklaces from Lizzie Fortunato (look for less here) and Dorsey, and the cutest sailboat sweater ever. I had been eyeing the sweater for like two seasons and kept thinking about it as the perfect finishing touch for any summer outfit that needs a little extra whimsy, contrast, interest. It somehow feels like a jacket / topper and looks chic thrown over just about anything. Tuckernuck has a great look for less that’s almost sold out, and I found two other similar styles at Anthro and here of all places (!! for under $100 — I would give this a try!). Not as much of a price saving, but Marea also just launched on a take on this style here!

A few of my other favorite takes on the silhouette below.

FLORAL SKIRT // COLOR BLOCK SILK SKIRT // WHITE SKIRT
01. This blue and white check floral mini — a Magpie reader bestseller for weeks now. Just released in a new print over the weekend! Pair with a simple tee and flat sandal.
02. Love (!!!!) this crochet tassel detail.
03. This dusty blue bandana-inspired mini captured my attention — I ordered this one, seen above!
04. A Julia Amory favorite. I own in a past-season print and love how pulled together I feel wearing this with the matching boxy top. She just released this in an iconic white eyelet! Reminder: code JEN-15 gets you 15% off.
05. Fab texture and pattern on this Hunter Bell skirt.
06. Classic blue and white stripe, at a clearance price — somehow around $100! This belongs in my New England summer guide.
07. Colorful linen-forward Farm Rio skirt. Their pieces always feel like a party!
08. I can’t stop thinking about this embroidered hem detail.
09. Elevated contrast scalloped edge.
10. Stunning sage paisley print on this skirt, and it’s under $120.
11. Abstract silk skirt. An investment — so good.
I personally love the look of the shorter wrap skirts paired with a white button down like this or this and a flat leather sandal, and the midi length ones with a polished tank and kitten heel mule.
