Surprise and happy Tuesday! Gorgeous letterpress prints of some of my favorite musings and reassurances are now available in my shop! These have been a top reader request for years and we took our time finding a wonderful boutique letterpress studio based in New York to bring these to life. I chose to keep the design simple, sleek, and petite (each print is 5×5″), and the quality is incredible — each one is letterpressed in rich blank ink on ultra-thick, luxe paper. I wanted these to feel like special words on special paper for the right moment.
I hope you treasure these as much as I do. These writings always begin as notes to self, and I often need to remind myself of them as I navigate my day. I would do well to revisit “If It Feels Hard, It Is Hard” and “A Good Life Also Includes…” multiple times a week. And “A Woman of Substance” should more or less always be in my line of sight as a north star. The other three explore the many permutations of love there are in this world. Every time I sit with their sentiments, I feel the day’s strains dissolve a bit; the essential clicks into focus. Love is, after all, always the point.

Notes on Framing / Displaying Magpie Prints.
+These look incredible individually float-framed in 8×8 lucite blocks as seen in the photo at the top of this post. Keep on your desk, your bureau, your nightstand, etc, or present as a gift to a Woman of Substance or one of those friends you “hold close.” I love the way this framing solution lets the light in and around — and also honors small spaces by taking up such a limited footprint (no easel backing).
+Another display idea: keep all six prints in an easel like this, this or this and rotate through for the right words for the right moment.
+Custom craft a frame to your style preference at Framebridge — my go-to framing service! — and hang the piece on the wall or situate as a desktop frame. You can specify the exact size of the print (5×5) and they have loads of matting and framing options. I trend to favor their Slim Irvine style in white and love to have the prints float framed. I find this makes the words really pop.
+I ordered and am currently waiting for a couple of these frames and these ones to arrive for my 5×5 prints. I thought they’d be a fun alternate way to display them, too. Will share photos once I have them!
+A friend of mine told me she was going to order a set and keep in her gift closet to hand out as gifts at the right moment — when someone needs encouragement, celebration, reassurance! You can tuck inside a book or card, wrap pre-framed, or tuck into a cello bag with a big satin bow.

Special Edition Print: “He Named the Bright Spot on the Moon After Here.”
I had this special poem letterpressed in navy blue ink in a larger 6×8 format (on the same ultra-luxe, thick paper). You may recall that I wrote this after the crew of the Artemis II moon mission named a bright spot on the moon after the late wife of Captain Reid Wiseman. I’m still so moved by that story.

I am showing it displayed in an 8×10 lucite block below, but you could also flush-frame it in a 6×8 lucite block for something more petite. I also absolutely love fabric/upholstered frames for a little contrast — something like this would be gorgeous (order the 8×10 size with the 6×8 opening).
I had mine lovingly framed with a navy linen mat (to match the ink) in a custom frame I built at Framebridge. I had my friend Elizabeth’s name engraved in a gold plaque on the bottom. I am forever looking for her, casting after her memory — and often finding her in the roses that bloom on the side of my house each May — and so the line about “searching for the deceased in the faces of flowers and asterisms” was deeply and immediately in her honor.
