Linen Longing.

By: Jen Shoop

Currently lusting after all things linen — and other natural-looking fabrics like canvas, twill, hemp — including the stunning Celine shirtdress shown above (now sold out, but available on eBay here if you’re dying over it). Such an elegant, breathable, timeless look. Below, my favorite linen (and linen-like) finds, plus some amazing accessories that compliment the look:

+Swooning over this N Nicholas dress with its dramatic buttons.

+This striped romper (under $100!) — with these rattan slides or these straw ones.

+This open-weave basket tote. Farmer’s market perfection.

+These linen trousers (or, for something more tailored, this pair or this one), paired with this smocked top or this gorgeous floral one — or, for a beachy look, this striped button-down (under $35).

+This slouchy sweater with white skinnies and these basket-weave loafers or these rattan flats in the natural color.

+This linen camisole or this boxy shell.

+This ultra-chic clutch.

+This cotton-canvas midi (so sexy and sweet).

+This canvas and straw bag or this raffia tote.

+This gorgeous stripe dress. (Not linen, but a sweet and airy voile.)

+These ankle-wrap sandals (!) or these classics.

+These linen loafers — to die.

+This striped skirt with these scalloped espadrilles.

+For littles: this linen-blend suit (adorable), these mary janes (mini owns them!), everything from Les Gamins linen collection (mini owns several dresses from this line), this linen jumpsuit.

  1. Love linen! I just bought a pair of navy linen cropped pants on Etsy from a small linen company in Europe. Can’t wait for them to arrive … and in the meanwhile, I’m pulling out my linen & cotton gauze staples from Black Crane! They can be a bit harder to come by sometimes, but I have good luck finding pieces from Need Supply (currently running a 30% F&F sale!), Bird and Covet + Lou.

    1. Ooh, all of that sounds so chic!! Love that you’re already pulling out linen, too. Although it’s rainy and cool today in NYC!

    1. LOVE those. So chic! I’ve seen so many folks on Insta wearing them and I love the look!!! xx

  2. I live in linen in the summer! My source for high quality linen is Eileen Fisher. I’m only 33 and the line has a reputation of being a bit “mature,” BUT…so many of the basics are extremely streamlined/simple and very, very high quality. They play well with more youthful pieces. (Not linen, but the stretch crepe ankle pants are an absolute staple in my postpartum wardrobe — elastic waist! can go in the dryer! packs in a suitcase without wrinkles!)

    1. Thanks for the tip!! I’m agnostic to brand so long as the size/fit/style is flattering 🙂

      xx
