I am so excited — I’ve been keeping a little side project under wraps the last few weeks: I collaborated with jewelry designer and fellow UVA alum Erin McDermott to design this special beaded necklace, which we just released this morning! I had loved some of her other chunky beaded pieces and asked whether we could design one on a cord with beads of different materials and she came up with this spectacular piece. I am absolutely obsessed with it. You can dress it up or down, wear it choker length or longer depending on where you tie it, and the beads are so rich-looking! Erin carefully selected each individual bead, from deep emerald greens with subtle marbling to grounded matte olive tones and unexpected flashes of gold. J’adore.

P.S. Sephora is running a surprisingly good promo right now — 20% off their “gifts” section (must be a beauty insider to access — free to join) with code SAVEGIFTS. This includes some gift sets already discounted. I gave my teenage neighbor a Glow Recipe set and she was SO excited — OMG. This is THE gift to give a teen — that or this set of Tower28 lip glosses! Both 20% off. Other great finds included: this luxe Prada lip balm set, these Merit flush balms, this fancy hand cream. And for us: the best shower oil (will never go back to shaving cream — it’s ruined me!) and my beloved hair bonding treatment, which has totally changed the quality, texture, and strength of my color-treated hair.
P.P.S. Delight in disorder, and other thoughts on transitions.
P.P.P.S. The run-on of love.

The necklace is beeauuuutiful, Jen! Congratulations! Love the different shades of green with the gold — so stunning. It’s been so exciting to see all your product collaborations this year — each one just seems so true to you and your collaborator, and the products bring out the best in both of you. I was curious, has there been any consideration on collabs with BIPOC-owned businesses? I think that would be a great way to highlight their work alongside yours.
Thank you so much, Mia!! I appreciate the kind words and encouragement. I would love to partner with a BIPOC-owned business! Have just begun thinking about other partnerships and projects for 2026, after my book has launched. Would love to do more of these special collaborations. Am open to suggestions and introductions too!!
