This is one of our down-the-road design projects, but I think we will eventually move our current bed into one of the guest rooms in our new house and upgrade to a king that we will design our entire bedroom around. When we were discussing this one recent night, I realized I immediately imagined the bed as a four-poster or canopy. I had an amazing wicker (!) canopy bed growing up (would be so on-trend at the moment) and I loved the feeling of being cosseted away in that structure, safe and cozy. I also like the way a four poster or canopy bed can really serve as the focal point of a bedroom and draw the eye upward.
