I love sending personalized gifts to loved ones. There is something so thoughtful and intentional about the personalization factor, even just given how far in advance you have to plan to have it arranged! Below, a roundup of fun gift ideas for your next gifting occasion, nearly all of them under $100 and many under $50, and majority of them from small boutiques.

affordable personalized gifts

Baptism or First Communion: Caroline & Co cross (01.) — also love this gingham (08.) — or Baptismal bowl (gave this to one of my godsons!)

Birthday: Cosmetic pouch (02. — ordered for myself!), iPhone case (03.), Weezie short robe, travel case set.

First Communion or Confirmation: Cross bracelet (04.) Gave a variation of this to my daughter on her first day of school!

Child’s birthday: Sweatshirt, custom bookplates (05.), placemat (09.), apron, stationery (06.)

House warming: Matouk initial towels (07. — have given these a few times and bought for myself!), throw, house portrait ornament.

Engagement: Smythson notebook (10.) with new initials personalized on front; lingerie bag with new initials.

First birthday: Stepstool, Liberty sweatshirt, sippy cup and snack set (also love this one), name puzzle (11.)

Beach House Hostess: Wet/dry bags (12.), striped towels.

Dog: Collar (13.), toy.

Acceptance to/Start of New School: Name pennant or pencil set.

Teacher: Note pad, bookplates.

Favors for Little Ones: Crayon boxes, personalized bows.

Hostess: Playing cards, notepad, melamine plate.

Baby: Knit hat, infant towel, teddy bear (can be customized with hand-stitched name), footie (monogram on rear), Widgeon fleece, baby book, applique pillow, burp cloths.

Men: Golf head covers, letterpress stationery.

Graduation: Signet ring, custom calligraphy piece with quote/prayer of personal significance.

Fellow Class Mom: Notepad.

Bridesmaids: Straw bags, jewelry rounds, SCL pouches.

Teen’s birthday: Airpods case, toiletry bag, racquet cover, stationery, straw tote.

New Mom: LL Bean bag with family name on side, stacking ring, bracelet, or mama and mini necklace set. (Push present upgrade: Aurelia Demark.)

Thank You: Stationery.

Driver’s License / New Car: Key chain.

For gift wrapping, I am in love with the styles from Amy Heitman. How chic is this style?! Other options: these hearts are sweet for a baby gift; I ordered some of this for mini’s upcoming birthday; and this champagne print is just too fun for a birthday or bachelorette. I always keep spools of 1.5″ double-faced satin ribbon on hand — goes with anything and always classic, and also works if you use it to wrap up the monogrammed gift in cellophane. Oh! And Erin Wallace always has the most darling enclosure cards and stickers. I love these!

P.S. A lot of these shops are incredible Etsy boutiques — even more recent Etsy discoveries here!

P.P.S. Sometimes a hand-written note is the most meaningful gift.

P.P.P.S. On figuring out how to just say the thing.

  1. I love giving personalized gifts! These are fantastic suggestions. I’ve bought multiples of Fat Brain Toys’ name puzzles in the past … love their cheerful, colorful letters, which have doubled as a tool to help my nieces learn their colors!

Also in the personalized vein — Wonderbly make lovely personalized books for kids and babies. They’ve also been a favorite gift of mine to give!

    xx

    1. They make SUCH nice books! I’ve especially loved them for little ones I know with uncommon names — my own first name is somewhat uncommon (especially when I was little) and I would have FLIPPED OUT for a personalized book!! I think it is such a nice gift!

      xx
