When I wore the quilted jacket above in an Instagram post, I was overwhelmed by the number of DMs I received about it! I can’t think of a single item I’ve worn in the past few months that has garnered more inquiries. And I get it! It’s such a fun statement and it’s also perfect for the weather right now. Unfortunately, it is past-season Hill House — “The Rowan” coat if you want to hunt for it on Poshmark (found good options here and here) — but they have cropped and belted variations out this season in great colors that I’d closely consider. I really love the detail of the contrast lining/trim patterns — adds such a great sense of dimension/interest.

I styled with my Alice Walk cashmere getaway sweater, Agolde Rileys, my RDV tote, the little bandana scarf from this sweater (so versatile!!), and A. Soliani flats. This is what I call “hero dressing” — taking all the items I love most in my closet and wearing them together. It somehow works?
Meanwhile, I mentioned this Eddy marbleized pattern coat once and several of you wrote to say you ordered it! She is FAB and just so different.
Even more options, plus styling notes and suggestions, below!

TIE-WAIST // LOEFFLER RANDALL // STRIPED // RED // ROSES // PINK
01. A flattering, current-season tie waist take on my exact jacket in the photo above. I like this if you’re worried about the quilting being too bulky. Colors are fun, too — imagine with ivory cords or light-wash denim or brown Donnis!
02. This raspberry blockprint jacket is fabulous. I think if I didn’t have my HHH one already, I’d snag this. I love the whipstitch trim, the feminine shape, and the collarlessness. I’ve heard that all the chic women on Nantucket own this coat! Try code ASHA10.
03. Antique mauve stripe — purple is the color du jour and this is such a sophisticated color pairing with the burgundy stripe. Note the FAB contrast lining in that navy blue repp pattern.
04. Have you seen this Sezane patchwork jacket? Part of their collab with SEA. Just perfect. Imagine with winter white jeans and some clog booties from Veronica Beard or No. 6.
05. If you love a dramatic detail. That collar!
06. Cool color/pattern and mandarin-style collar on this. J.A. makes everything look so polished, doesn’t she?! Try code JEN-15.
07. Delicate rust florals with rich burgundy piping. This will take you deep into your fall self!
08. Love the bow detail on this medallion patterned crop!
09. Farm Rio makes amazing statement jackets. I have a patterned puffer coat of theirs from last year that I can’t wait to bring out. This one is perfect for right now.
10. Another fab, on-trend amethyst/plum/purple family option.
For a twist on the look, love the vibe of a quilted patterned vest with a button-down and jeans — consider this, this, or this!
