I’m sorry, I was going to work this sale into tomorrow’s shopping finds, but it was too exciting to me not to send out the bat (magpie) signal right now — Nili Lotan’s end of season sale is incroyable and full of wardrobe staples that you’ll reach for again and again. I know many of you are Nili devotees; now is the best time to build out a capsule of ultra-chic pieces for the seasons ahead. The item that is currently waiting in my shopping basket: this spectacular donegal wool jacket (seen above). Even discounted, it’s a major investment, but WOW. I love the idea of pairing it with brown suede and dark denim and gold hardware. It has such a handsomeness to it; it feels like a piece that might have been worn in the 1940s along with a matching pencil skirt. Just breathtaking. It is so lovely to see brands continuing to make true classics like this.
The other item I wanted to call out is their classic white Normandy blouse, which is a bestseller and truly seasonless. Wear with jeans, wear with shorts, wear beneath a blazer, etc.
A note on sizing: I find this brand runs a tad big and definitely long for us shorties. The pants are a better inseam fit for taller gals.

On a separate note, one of the ways I have been slowing down and taking care of myself this summer, a la my post on “a therapy of the soft and slow,” is by undertaking a multi-hour skincare reset. I plan to do just this later today. OMG your skin has never looked happier or more hydrated. It’s probably the only situation in which I will forgo makeup. Your skin looks its best, I promise!
