I love this edit! I usually skew conservative with colors but have been leaning into more ‘pops.’ I have those hair clips and not only are they delightful, they’re the only ones I’ve found that can actually hold my thick, long hair.
Along the lines of colorful pens, I treated myself to this highlighter set during my law school finals last term and OMG they are the best highlighters ever! I know there are a few other students in these comments but I also use them in my planner, to-do notes, etc. The colors are terrific (no grating neons!) and are the perfect opaque shades for all paper types. I’ve mailed them to multiple student and teacher friends! Obsessed. Katherine, I was exactly the same way — my closet used to be filled with white, taupe, gray, black, and some blue (my winter wardrobe is still mostly neutral) but I’ve definitely been into more color especially in the spring/summer.
