I know.
It’s the middle of September, and I’m still talking florals.
But they have been allll over the place the last few seasons, especially all over NY during fashion week, and in lots of fall-appropriate variations. (Related: DROOL.)
My top pick for nailing the look: this Ganni in such a cool, breezy floral print ($250). I’m imagining wearing it with some suede booties (or, hell, suede OTKs!) for fall.
My other top picks:
+A girl can dream: this Alessandra Rich dress is beyond, as is this one (heart eyes).
+Love the vintage vibe and unexpected blue hue of this DVF.
+This mustard yellow print one, for under $150!
+Obsessing over this cool (tiered!) dress from a new-to-me label, Spell. This one is also very pretty. (P.S. More tiered beauties here.)
+This Misa in perfect marigold.
+Tres chic Mara Hoffmann number, on sale!
+Holy.moly. Saloni. You devil. I’m also very into green these days…
+Velvet and floral? Yes please.
+Finally, I saw this Coach dress in a Harper’s Bazaar spread (shown below — what a stunning spread!!!) and haven’t been able to get it out of my head. Love that frill along the bust, and the marigold color, of course, too.
P.S. More floral finds, inspired by Ulla Johnson’s latest collection.
P.P.S. If you love the feminine vibe as much as I do: blush picks for fall.
P.P.P.S. ICYMI: my favorite spots in Chicago.
Loving that Ganni dress! I tend to stick to tea-length dresses & skirts since I am a shorty and hate getting things hemmed all the time, but these are some great ideas. I need more moody florals in my life!
I know — it’s TOO good. Also, though it’s a royal PITA (pain in the ass) to get them hemmed, I actually totally love the maxi look on a petite frame like yours and mine. I think mini or maxi length can actually lengthen. Maybe this is just a lie I tell myself because I like the look of a maxi, but there you go.
Who makes that little bucket bag with the round handles everyone is wearing at NYFW? Thanks!
Hi Gilli! I think you’re referring to the Simon Miller Bonsai bag: http://bit.ly/2w9hZc8 — TRES CHIC.
