Easter is several weeks away (Sunday, April 4th), but as today is Ash Wednesday and this past year has taught me to plan well ahead (especially on likely-to-sell-out items like themed pajamas, or pieces I want to personalize, or items that take awhile to ship), I’m sharing some of my recent finds for the occasion in this post and in this section of my shop.
I have already ordered this Kid Made Modern Easter Craft Kit, as they take some time to ship and this will be a perfect activity for mid-March, as we gear up for the holiday. I’m also already building another cart at Michael’s with goodies like this little bunny craft set — I like to keep items along these lines on hand in the closet for these slow weekend afternoons…

P.P.P.S. I still marvel at the comment: “I am not a thought leader. But I am a very good thought follower.” My perspective on this has changed since I first shared that a couple years ago, I think. What are your thoughts?
All so cute! I’m making Easter baskets for our nieces (5,6,6, and 8) to send to them….recommendations for basket stuffers for those ages?? I’m already thinking plus plus tubes, and Kid Made Modern friendship bracelet kits (yes, I’m secretly hoping to get a few adorable bracelets in the mail, ha!). Thanks Jen! xo
Such a sweet idea! Yes to plus plus tubes and Kid Made Modern. Maybe also check out Ooly for art supplies/crayons/pens — I have been buying stuff from them for every occasion and every age. (Most of the treats in the goody bags I put together for mini’s birthday are from there!)

Hi! My son has his first communion in June. They are holding it later this year in the hopes for good weather as it has to be outside. Can you give me suggestions for a dress and shoes that will work? We’ll be on grass and dirt but I still want some great shoes. Thanks!
Hi Emmy – So special! For shoes, OMG — just found these adorable block-heel LRs on ridiculous sale for under $90:

I love them so much! Hoping they are in your size. But something like that would be perfection with a pretty early summer dress like…

Oh – on footwear – another chic option would be a wedge espadrille from Castaner:

Thank you!

OMG I generally despise most of the Llama Llama books, but my oldest loves them too! C’est la vie I suppose… 😉
Thank you for another great post and so many cute Easter ideas! Xo
So funny – I really don’t get it. Colors? Cartoon-like illustration? There IS a lot of visual movement on the page…eh well.
So glad you appreciated this!

A couple other cute things I have gotten for my 3 year old daughter’s Easter basket:
– these play doh Easter eggs (I HATE PLAY DOH) but I know she will love Play-Doh Spring Eggs Easter Eggs 4 pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002XQ7QJW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_CQC0WRYMDZTFJBFQNNYE
– Piggy Paint kids non toxic nail polish – I got her a Valentines set which she loved and they have some adorable Easter ones! https://www.piggypaint.com/product-category/gift-sets/
I also got her and her baby brother these matching bunny ears b/c how could I not? https://www.potterybarnkids.com/m/products/seersucker-bunny-ears/?pkey=ceaster-basket-gifts
Hi Allison! Thank you so much for these — especially the Easter egg play-doh tip! That went right into my cart. My kids love play-doh and will get a kick out of the eggs shape. Also possibly a cute idea to give to little friends…
Making me very excited for Easter and spring 🙂

Love ALL those little girl outfits!! And I’m snagging a few of those basket goodies, too – I like the bunny puzzle for the baby and the nesting eggs for big sister. And those peeps bath bombs are too much! We are on a major bath bomb kick at our house.
Totally agree about Llama Llama Easter Egg! I guess when you write a wildly popular kids book, you can skate by with the rest of your work. Same with Happy Easter, Mouse. We read it a few times and said, wait a minute – this book just reused illustrations from If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and added Easter eggs! (Eye roll).
Also, I recommend “practice” egg hunts as a good indoor toddler activity. We did A LOT of those last year at the start of lock down with a new baby sister in the house.
Hi Steph – What a great idea on the practice egg hunts! Going to for sure work this into my weekend activity rotation as we move towards Easter. So clever!
Ha – glad you agree on the Llama Llama Easter Egg. But for some reason my kids love all of those books…the illustrations?
