9 Standout Products Worth Buying from the Sephora Sale.

By: Jen Shoop

A three post day! But I wanted to include a dedicated post to this sale, which starts today for VIB and Rouge, and on Tuesday for the rest of us, who can start building carts now. I think a lot of us have fallen out of love with the Sephora sale because — for many (myself included) — it’s only a 10% discount*, and you can find deeper sales on brand sites throughout the year. However. There are a handful of products I would buy from this promotion because a) the items rarely do go on sale, or b) they are instant-re-orders that I would buy at full price regardless. (There is also something delightfully convenient about placing one order for multiple beauty items and getting an across-the-board discount versus placing five or ten separate orders on separate sites.) Anyway, my list of things to actually consider buying:

01. Virtue Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner. If you didn’t avail yourself of Virtue’s birthday sale, now is the time. This is my FAVORITE haircare product right now. It contains keratin and leaves hair so shiny, straight, glossy, full. It’s exactly what I need while chasing Dakota Johnson bangs. I also noticed this little trial set with the shampoo, conditioner, and a mask trio. Great for travel or to test to see if you like it as much as I do.

02. Sarah Creal Face Flex concealer. The GOAT. I love this so much I wrote an entire post about it. Would and have bought at full price and it’s worth every penny. Fluid, lots of color options for a perfect match, does not settle into fine lines, looks like your skin but better. I also absolutely love (!!!) their luminizing bronzing balm, applied with the brush (the brush really makes a difference — applies a perfect amount and deposits exactly where you want it). It’s like this sheer, buildable glowy bronzing balm. Spectacular.

03. YSE Eye Patches. I’m such a big believer in eye patches if you want to see a real difference in your undereye area. I think it comes down to the length of time you are letting the product soak into your skin! I LOVE these YSE ones and parcel them out like rare gems since they’re $$. I’ll save for the morning of a big event, or after a big night out, or just when I feel like I need special treatment. These depuff and brighten and magically stay put on the area unlike most others, which are wont to slip off / slide off.

04. Chris McMillan’s glassy smooth blowdry spray. An absolute must. Heat protectant and leaves hair so glossy and shiny. I appreciate that it works really well on fine hair — does not weigh hair down even when applied with a semi-heavy-hand. Also smells great. I use their texturizing spray to style my bags / keep them in place — I find I really need a texturizing spray to get the look I want / prevent limp bang problems. I’m fully stocked on both of these but I am using the promotion to order this travel set. I’ve wanted to try their styling balm for awhile!

05. Kate McLeod Body Stones. I really love to apply these solid lotion bars after the shower. It’s a great body experience — it feels much more…whimsical? intentional? romantic? — than a standard body lotion, and the scents are elevated and non-synthetic. I always keep 1-2 of these in my closet to gift, as I think they’re a great price point, a chic alternative to a candle as a gift, and suggestive of nurturing rituals. (Good mother’s day treat for mom friends; the subtext: take care of yourself!) But I think my favorite product from this brand are their Breathe and Sleep Pebbles that come in either eucalyptus (“breathe”) or lavender (“sleep”). They are such a fantastic sensory experience — they sort of bubble under water and release a gorgeous, luxe scent. I crave the eucalyptus one when I’m under the weather. A medicine cabinet must-have for me.

06. Tatcha’s Milky Sunscreen. I can’t stop speaking in exclamation points about the dreamy consistency of this SPF, which your skin just drinks up. The finish is insane — it can’t possibly be SPF! Magic!

07. Eadem lip treatments. They exfoliate and hydrate, taste great, and come in such fun colors and CHIC packaging. These are a treat.

08. Mane hot thermal brush. I don’t think I ever see this go on sale? I’ve written about this a lot lately but this is THE TOOL you need if you have bangs that get rowdy overnight — lol. I use this every single morning just to tame and style my bangs, and it’s actually really low-lift since it takes like 3 seconds to heat. It’s almost like picking up a brush. Easy breezy. Then I spray with the Chris McMillan.

09. Ckylar Naked Neroli body cream. I mentioned the body stone above — which I LOVE — but I’m also addicted to Ckylar’s naked neroli body lotion. I use the latter when I’m in a rush and the former when I’m taking my time (everything shower vibes). BUT OMG, this scent! The feel! It’s so luxe and divine for only $29 (and a little less than that with the discount). I’ve re-ordered this tube 3x since discovering late last fall. It is SUCH high-quality stuff and packed with skincare-grade ingredients. 10/10 would rec. I love the neroli scent so much that I ordered the little hand cream, too, and I use it mainly for the scent versus the hydration — LOL. It’s so good.

*This is a tiered sale, offering 10% off for Insiders, 15% off for VIB, and 20% off for Rouge members.

P.S. More great undereye patches here.

P.P.S. All my favorite morning things.
