Five trends I’m into right now for our spring 2019 wardrobes:
Trend No. 1: White, Cropped Wide Leg Jeans.
Doesn’t the chic pea above and below (Olivia Lopez) make you want to burn all of your skinny jeans in dark washes in favor of a white, cropped, wide-leg style? My favorite finds for nailing the look: these $59 Mangos (!!), these from J. Crew, and these from Apiece Apart. If white’s not your vibe, how about these linen-blend ones in elegant khaki?
Trend No. 2: A Romantic White Blouse.
I’ve been seeing frilly white blouses crop up everywhere — the more Romeo & Juliet-like, the better. I love this from Endless Rose (under $90), this by Ganni, and this from Mara Hoffman. All would look incredible with high-waisted, light-wash denim and white footwear. (Or, go for the look in dress form — #swoon.)
Trend No. 3: A White Shoe.
OK, I guess white is the prevalent theme here, but — so fresh! I love these Everlane loafers (I own this similar pair in white from J. Crew, which is heavily discounted but only available in select sizes in the white), these Stuart Weitzman mules (!!! — currently on sale!), these funky slides (shown below), and these Sam Edelman flats.
Trend No. 4: Gingham.
Timeless in some ways, but gingham feels SO fresh this season. I’ve seen it on everything from mules (shown below) to blouses (<<love; get the look for less with this) to totes (<<I own and love this) and dresses (shown below — this label is SO HOT RIGHT NOW). Trend No. 5: The Floral Raincoat.
Florals are basically always in vogue in the springtime (there are so many botanical pieces I’m dying over right now, but these mules, this swimsuit, and this skirt top the list), but I am especially into the floral print anorak from Madewell. Or, go high-fashion with this haute look (on super sale).

P.P.P.S. Because I’m massively pregnant, my dream outfit right now: a stretchy/loose t-shirt dress, a cute basket bag, and simple slides.
Ooh, I love when you do this type of post. I am all about a white, wide-leg jean — the only pair I have is a Citizens of Humanity ivory pair with a frayed hem (basically a dupe — but in white — of Rachel Comey’s Legion jean) and they feel a little bit dated. I want a pair with a finished hem, and the Apiece Aparts fit the bill!
I tried on those AGOLDE pinch-waist jeans when I was in California last month and totally thought of you! They were a bit long and I didn’t want to spend $30 to hem them (although they are reasonably priced for designer denim) — plus, I don’t need them — but they are so cute!
Dying for that Petersyn skirt … such a gorgeous statement! Love.
Same page on all of these musings…but I always have to get my jeans hemmed :/ It’s just part of the calculus that goes into buying new pants!

I SHOULD get all of my pants hemmed, but I’m juuuust tall enough that I’ve been skating by on all the cropped pants that have come out in recent seasons (e.g. the Everlane straight-leg crops that I’ve mentioned before come in a ‘short’ length that hits me right above the ankle bone)
This is not something to take for granted, though, so thanks for the reminder! I do try to hem pants when I need to, but something about paying full retail + paying $30 for a hem grates on me. Haha. It’s mostly that I just like to avoid ever paying the full retail price for many items, especially when I already have plenty of jeans (!!) That said, tailoring is a game-changer and it would do me well to remember that.
