Sickie.

By: Jen Shoop

A bad chest cold settled in within the span of about five hours.  Seriously.  One minute I was watching scary movies while snacking on s’mores and champagne, and then I was up at 3 am with the most unbearably sore throat and irrepressible cough.  I spent the better part of the following day thrashing around in bed, drinking every liquid in sight, and binge-watching The Mindy Project on Hulu.  This is all I could bring myself to wear for the last 48 hours: oversized sweater ($91); Eberjey sweater ($70); sweats ($70); and cozy slippers ($100):

When I’m feeling on the feverish side, I throw on one of my Eberjey rompers ($95):

Aside from Mindy Kaling and Dayquil, the only things getting me through this sick haze are hot showers, scrubbing my face using Exfolikate ($85), slathering on Clinique’s moisture surge lotion ($39),and frequent applications of Kiehl’s Lip Balm ($7.50):

I also overnighted a new trashy book (Big Law, $20) to keep me company and lit my favorite candle (Tocca’s Florence, $38) to make things feel cozier

But mainly, it’s been a miserable past few days…
