I love (!) pastels. I adore (!!) accents like pearls and bows and jewels. I nearly always choose the patterned over the plain. My brother-in-law handily termed this aesthetic “dressing like a present.”
But I will admit that some days, I’m in an all-black-everything, or black-and-white-only mood and the vibe feels slick. Below, a few picks in white and black minimalism:
(01.) STUNNING BLACK CECILIE TOP
(02.) PADDED BLACK HEADBAND
(03.) THE CHICEST JAMMIES, PERHAPS WITH MY FAV SLIPPERS (IN BLACK)
(04.) CHIC SANDALS OPTION 1 OR CHIC SANDALS OPTION 2 (YOU CAN STILL WORK PEARL IN THERE SOMEHOW)
(05.) LOEWE MAGIC
(06.) MY BROCK TOP IN BLACK
(07.) TECHNICALLY NAVY, BUT DARK ENOUGH TO PASS FOR BLACK (I OWN AND CAN VOUCH!)
(08.) VEJAS
(09.) CLASSIC BOAT TOTE WITH BLACK STRAPS
(10.) MY FAVORITE SHADES
And a few other finds I love…
MY QUILTED BACKPACK (I OWN IN BLACK)
MY GOODNESS, THIS UNDER-$50 ONE-PIECE IS CHIC
BALLET FLATS (OR GENTLY-USED CHANEL!)
COTTON QUILTED COAT (ALSO LOVE THIS LONG PUFFER)
MY FAVORITE BLACK SKINNIES, BUT EYEING THIS DISTRESSED PAIR
TEXTURED CASHMERE TURTLENECK AT A GREAT PRICE

P.S. More in this vein.
P.P.S. Aging in dribs and drabs, and musings on turning 36.
P.P.P.S. Would you believe…?
I love this vibe! I wore my black Nesli Nap Dress yesterday and felt like a million bucks (or at least, as many bucks as possible while essentially quarantining at home … ha!)
I have a really similar top to the one you linked from COS (mine is also from COS) with voluminous, gathered sleeves … love! Think I’ll pair it with my black overalls soon. Thank you for the inspiration!

OOO the elusive black nap dress! You are one of the few and chic that was able to claim one of those. I feel like you could make a fortune off of it on eBay — ha!
COS has such great silhouettes!

Minimalist designs are always the best. For those who need to look a bit more fancy there are always accessories to add a little zing.
Clicked on nearly everything – I’m a black on black (or if I’m feeling bold, mixed neutrals) girl most days!
Yay!! I like your vibe. Slick — and everything “goes together.”
