Le Hermes Scarf Lookalike.

By: Jen Shoop

Don’t we all love the look of a classic Hermes silk scarf?  It’s timeless, heirloomable, and ultra-wearable whether you’re 23 or 73.  It is also infinitely versatile: pair with a sweatshirt, cocktail dress, or business wear and it always works. You can occasionally find great Hermes scarves gently used and on sale at The Real Real but I have to say there often isn’t a huge price difference between buying them new and buying them used.

Hermes Scarf Look for Less.

I recently found an incredible $29 Amazon scarf that nails the Hermes look for less and comes in loads of patterns and colors:

I also found a couple of other scarves a little pricier than $29 but still well below the price tag of an Hermes that deliver a similar look:

Styling Hermes (and Hermes-Inspired) Scarves.

I own and treasure two Hermes scarves — one of which my husband gave me one on the eve of the birth of my son (it has a military motif, and he said he bought it for me because he felt I was brave, heading into the c-section!) and the other of which belonged to my mother. I love styling them with a simple white tee and jeans as much as I do with a smart blazer. A few outfits below…

Also had to add a little street style homage to the ultra-chic Giovanna Battaglia, showing all the different ways to style an Hermes scarf!

Oooh, chiiiic. My mom has a couple of Hermès scarves that I love! I don’t have any myself, but I have a large square silk Liberty of London scarf that’s a decent sub. Love the look of these Tuckernuck ones as well!

Ugh I’ve been wanting an Hermès scarf for forever, but right now wouldn’t wear it because my darling but messy baby would definitely get puffs or something all over it. The Tuckernuck option is a fantastic sub!

I just ordered the Tnuck one! Can you help a girl out though- HOW do I tie this? I’d love to wear it to work, but I can never figure out how to wear silk scarves. THANK YOU!

My brother and sister-in-law gifted me with a Hermes scarf for Christmas this year that they purchased on their honeymoon in Paris. I was so surprised and overwhelmed by such a generous gift that I cried! My brother, SIL, and husband are still teasing me about ridiculous emotion over a scarf! But I adore it and know it will always be a staple in my wardrobe.
