Only I feel like Landon is both of these things?! (What is my role…?! Lol.) I polled Magpies on Instagram to see which persona we most identify with. Interestingly, 37% of us are “personality hires,” 23% are “the people who understand insurance,” 18% are both, and 22% are neither (like me). When I brought this up to Landon, he graciously said: “don’t sell yourself short on the personality front” but then went on to say, “there’s another big category: the logistics person / the social calendar keeper.” Which I agree with, and actually a few Magpies mentioned this in their replies. Of course, the meme loses its punchy verve if it becomes too diffuse, but — it did spark an interesting conversation. Which do you think you are? Do you agree with this bifurcation? (Marriage is so many things…!)

+MESSY CHIC HAIR (ANOTHER MICK/STEVIE THING): One of you observed in the comments on my rock and roll energy post that “messy hair” falls in this category, and a girlfriend sent me this reel proposing that messy chic is the new 2026 “thing.” Definite rock energy. BTW, good hair is a true blessing. I feel like I’ve been clawing my way to good hair my entire life? Can you really work towards it or is it something you’re born with? My daughter has the best hairline and the fullest, shiniest hair in the universe, for example. Where did it come from? The gal in the bottom left hand corner just has IT.
