Today, I’m featuring some looks that fall a little out of my comfort zone and tend towards Parisian chic, i.e., Isabel Marant and her brand of street cool. Quelque chose de different. Chouette, ca. For example, a simple crewneck ($65) and a flippy skirt ($520)…
…finished with these dreamboats ($1,505):
Holy.majoley. Do I need these badboys, or do I need these badboys?! I’m dying. Perfection, perfection, I tell you. Anyhoots, finish with this slick rick (Jerome Dreyfuss, $1,225):
But seriously: those shoes. Hello, lovers. Or, how about this cheery/cheeky little romper ($96 — very Alexa Chung, n’est-ce-pas?) with some Illesteva shades (so hot right now — $260):
I know I’ve featured these before, but these leopard tootsies ($120) are just calling my name…
Finish it off with this well-priced leather tote from new-to-me line Cuyana ($150):
This next look is a little more in my zone, but the looser-fitting jeans are a bit of a stretch (#skinnyjeanaddiction): these beautiful earrings (really, really need these before they sell out — $65), this embellished Joie top ($368 — oh man, am I into embellishments! I already own this, but really, really, really want this.), some more generously-cut jeans, and metallic flats ($110 — or, for my more hipster friends, oxfords?!)
I kindaaa wanted to add a devil-may-care dash to this look with a high-end baseball hat ($50), but then I deleted it, then added it, then deleted it, then added it…so I’m featuring it below, a little separate — something to snack on.
Y’all know about my obsession with Scandinavian crosses, right? Chalk it up to my Finnish heritage, but I can’t get enough and have been lusting after one of those Pia Wallen cross blankets for about a century. However, I just cannot justify a $300 throw (and Mr. Mags might…die), especially when I have more important (?) purchases to make, like my new pair of Chanel espadrilles (lovesies) and this stunning dress that I just snagged and am wearing to a wedding over Labor Day. #Nailedit. (I also considered this, but decided it was too bridal.)
P.S., I was ecstatic when I discovered that Candy Kirby creates throws with a similar cross pattern for much, much less…but they are baby blankets, so…too soon. Or, get the look with just this pillow ($29…ah, how I love Etsy):
Have a beautiful weekend! Heading back to Chicago after a week of work in D.C. and looking forward to having two of my very best girlfriends visiting me in the citayyy!
I love the jeans – what brand are they? Hopefully I can also snag those earrings before they are all gone…
Hi Kim! Actually, those jeans are from Scotch + Soda! I’ve never tried them on, but love the color and wash!
Managed to get those earrings last week — phew!
