Does anyone ever just want to wear the basics?  You realize everything you’re wearing is so frou-frou or trying too hard?  Me too.  On those days, I go back to some simple staples: striped tees ($45):

Staple tortoise-shell shades ($250), red monogrammed wallet ($120), chic leather cuff ($45), denim jacket ($128), navy Supergas ($65), and a borrowed-from-the-boys sweatshirt (Penfield, $57):

You can never go wrong with the basics! I find myself in these more at this mom of young kids stage.
