The new arrivals at Madewell just feel FRESH for spring. Stripes, embroidery, denim — all my favorite trends in one place. And also, that beachy, lived-in hair just has me day-dreaming for a warm day spent outside in the sun.
Below, select pieces from the Madewell collection alongside a few other gems I’d like to mix in to achieve the same aesthetic:
+For starters, that embroidered top ($98) makes me very happy.
+These chic brown leather sandals ($325) get the low stacked heel look that is all the rage right now.
+All the striped tees from Kule ($118) are uber chic and well-made. (Although — who can resist these boatneck Old Navy tees for $8/pop?! In great spring colors, no less!)
+Denim overalls ($118). I got a pair from Current/Elliott last summer and I lived in ’em. I liked to wear them over a bikini. But I also really like them styled with a striped tee. Also consider these white ones from Old Navy, which look to be cut very nicely…and are $32.
+Classic Swedish Hasbeens ($249).
+And…this dress! It’s everything ($462). It’s all that and a bag of chips. (Remember that saying from childhood? Anyone?)
+Love this slightly platformed espadrille ($100). SO CHIC.
+Classic St. James tee ($90). (Also love this in the vivid red-orange stripe…$40!)
+Mini bucket bag ($78).
+Embroidered top tee ($40).
+Somehow this gingham one-piece just FITS ($170).
+Or, a versatile fresh denim vest ($98)?
+Red shades ($128).
+Sneakers — these Adidas by Raf Simmons ($400) are pricey and insanely chic at the moment. Also check out some classic Supergas ($65 — beloved by the Olsen twins), these TopShops ($35), or–dare I say it–Chuck Taylors ($50). Chuck Taylors are having a MOMENT right now.
+Statement-making midi dress (Suno, $595).
In the same vein, also love this dress and this denim jumpsuit from Madewell. And this denim dress from Free People.
