Feels Like Right Now.

I know Frida Kahlo has something of a cult following, and I’ve never really jumped on that bandwagon. I get her importance as an artist and I appreciate her talent. But…that’s about it. Then I saw this print from artist Carly Martin ($35) and briefly contemplated conjuring a feigned interest in her to legitimize the purchase. And then I thought: “so what if I’m not a big Frida fan? I can still buy this because I just like it. I do what I want.” And so I did.

I love the colors, I love the sassy look on her face, and I love how this will look with a big white mat and a black or white frame. Other things that fall in the same vein:
