BLADE BAR // IN-SHOWER MOISTURIZER // HAIR REFRESH SET // HYDRATING LIP MASK // BOMBAS SOCK GIFT PACK // COLORBLUR GLOW BALM // HAND SANITIZER
As we near Christmas and all the festivities that precede it — office parties, family secret santas, white elephant exchanges with friends — it may be a good idea to stock up on some under-$50 stocking stuffers. A collection of my favorites below:
01. The Blade Bar — perfect for a girlfriend’s gift exchange. This gives you the closest shave you can imagine. Major upgrade from Gillette.
02. This hair towel — I swear by this! Cuts blow-dry time but a significant quotient.
03. Switch up the stocking stuffers this year with this metallic tooth brush.
04. A Dior Lip Oil or Dior Lip Glow Balm. Currently 15% off. I know many Magpies are obsessed with these two products, and there’s something so fab about gifting a prestige beauty product like this. Even the packaging is fun!
05. This in-shower moisturizer is luxurious — lazy girl shower must-have.
06. Hair refresh set from my favorite haircare brand.
07. This on-the-go pouch comes in nine different patterns.
08. Christmas mug — I love the pattern!
09. A fun Chocolat puzzle for the whole family.
10. This sock 3-pack gift box is a crowdpleaser.
11. Chic hair clip.
12. Any woman I know would be happy to receive a hydrating lip mask. I keep mine in my desk!
13. Another crowdpleaser — 3-pack slip scrunchies. My sister and I wait all year for these to materialize in our stockings at Christmas, courtesy of my mom.
14. BonBon candy fish.
15. These olive cocktail napkins are the perfect hostess gift.
16. Colorblur glow balm — my most-used cheek color product!
17. These scripture cards for her desk.
18. A poetry book!
19. 10-pack pens from Amazon.
20. Spray hand sanitizer: chic and smells great.
How I wanted to love the Hanni products and the concept of a lazy girl shower, but they haven’t worked for me. I didn’t care for scooping the product with my hands (and for the price point wish it included a scoop), found it messy and greasy, the instructions to rinse quickly without scrubbing confusing, and the hydration didn’t last. Similar experience with their water balm. Maybe I did something wrong with the application, but was so disappointed. I still have half a jar left of the splash salve and would love to know if you have any tips for applying. Thank you.
Oh no! I’m bummed to hear that. I find the Hanni splash salve really works for me. I hear what you mean about it being a tad messy. I usually apply this last in the shower, and sort of work it into my skin like a lotion when I’m standing outside the direct flow of the shower but it’s still on so I’m not cold, and then turn off the water without rinsing. Then I get out and pat dry and it really seals in the hydration for me. But I do know what you mean that maybe it’s not as “clean” as just applying a lotion out of the shower?
The spray balm caveat is that I feel like I have to apply it with a bath towel or mat beneath me so it doesn’t get all over the floor and make it greasy. But I really find it does hydrate well, just like the balm.
xx
Ahhh I was rinsing the salve off maybe that’s the issue! ..and agree about standing on a bath mat to apply the balm. Wish the bottle had a finer mist.
Let me know what you think once you try this way! xx
