Guys, my fall wardrobe is rounding out very nicely. I can’t believe my good fortune, but I was able to score a new pair of Loeffler Randall heeled boots that I literally (!!!) wore into the ground over the last few seasons in simple black on RIDICULOUS sale at Amazon for $125. I have NO idea why they were marked down in my size temporarily, because now they’re back to their full price. (?!?!??!?!) I’m so ecstatic. I guess my word to the wise is — keep trolling the ‘Zon because you never know. Like, I’m also thinking I might snag these LRs, marked down to $85 in olive green (so funky cool!) I know the shape may be a little “5 seasons ago,” but I think these are the best-made, most elegant, most slimming boots out there and I’ll never part ways. I also snagged a new pair of J.Brands for the winter. Ya know, the staples. Some other picks that are hovering dangerously in my virtual shopping cart:
This striped boxy top ($79) feels SO right now.
Love this monogrammed, pom-pommed keychain ($49). Would look so cute appended to my Annabel Ingall work tote.
This striped cape ($349) is on POINT. Capes are big for this fall (there was an epic spread in Bazaar featuring Miroslava Duma making this point!), and this stripey guy is perfection.
Matte black flats ($125) in a Chanel-esque vibe?! Um, need. Also in nude with a black captoe.
Love the wrist ties on this gingham top ($35). So high-fashion.
This oversized turtleneck sweater ($80) looks SO cozy.
I can’t get over this affordable, chic, bow-ankled suede bootie ($109). I love it. LOVE IT.
This gold-buttoned skirt ($118)!!!! I need need need it in this color and the navy. Would look fab with this chambray shirt ($78).
I’ve blabbed about the pajama top blouse trend a few times on this little blogletta, and it’s still cropping up this season.
I like this elegant maroon color ($89).
So, bell sleeves have been a major trend on the street style for a MINUTE:
A lot of the high-flying fashionistas wear Ellery for its signature bell sleeves (like this or this) — tres chic, tres fancy, tres $$$$. I say get the look for less with one of these elegant $64 tops in a variety of colors. Or — I believe this is what the lady in the first pic is wearing — this affordable $55 find. (P.S., she needs to brush her hair, RIGHT?) Or splurge a bit on this bold red style (great holiday pick!, $250), or get a variation on it in the form of this dress (on sale for $172 — woah plunging neckline!) or this one ($425) from Milly. OR, check out this solid black style ($88).
And, finally, a few other picks I just couldn’t squeeze into the above 10:
+Affordable, tie-neck, printed dress ($158). This is such a perfect work dress and could easily be paired with black tights and black booties (yes, navy and black can be friends) as we head towards winter.
+Similar to above — love that you could wear this ($100) now with some black flats (like the ones above!) and into winter with tights and booties, and maybe a thin black turtleneck layered underneath.
+So into the gold buttons on this cute a-line dress ($99).
+For super casual Saturdays, love this cotton rugby striped dress ($89) — the fit makes it seem a little more fashion forward than your average cotton dress, and I love that the sleeves are super form-fitted while the dress is super forgiving. #Flattering.
+I mentioned this previously, but I had to buy this BR dress in the champagne color ($118). I’m wearing it to a pitch event for work next week and think I’ll pair it with a fab little printed scarf like Giovanna Battaglia is wearing hers here. Done and done.
+This curve-hemmed sweater in white is so perfect for this transitional weeks ($36).
+I absolutely love my Stuart Weitzman Highland OTK boots ($798), and my bestie owns the lowlands ($798). But you can get the look for far less with these Sam Edelman babies ($225).
