Today, I Like...

Some random things I’ve been coveting of late…

First, this cow-hide covered horn-leg ottoman ($175). This would be perfection in my living room, alongside my new console table, which Mr. Magpie just custom designed with Landrum Tables, an incredible furniture design company out of Charleston, SC. (Thank you, Garden + Gun, for the introduction. Ours is most similar to the one at top left of this section, but Mr. Magpie had some special requests. I can’t wait to add some tall, refined lamps and then to decorate the surface with all kinds of objets and books…goody!)

Speaking of horns, check out the artful wonders from this funky Etsy shop, Zook ($86-$105):

Mr. Mags might implode if I bought one of these for our home — neon just ain’t his jam — but I’m imagining a beautiful single gal’s apartment with one of these mixed into a gallery wall. Jeal-y furtado over here. (Speaking of things I will never be able to buy again — this mirrored vanity, a lovely score from Urban Outfitters’ selection of home goods! HOLY moly. I imagine it in a dressing room with a white shag rug, a beautiful patterned, upholstered stool, and rows of amazing shoes.) Other items of obsession: VERY into these shades from hot line Sheriff and Cherry, in all three colors ($115 a pop):

Tres chic, ca. While on the topic of accessories, spotted two pairs of similar earrings at TopShop that I was prancing over — how cool/funky (and inexpensive!) are these two beauts ($28 for top pair, $30 for bottom pair):

Either would look incredible with a simple LRR (lather-rinse-repeat) look of jeans and a blouse, especially capped off with these Loeffler Randall ombre snakeskin flats (loved ’em since the moment I saw ’em…$192):

Shifting gears entirely — back to the home — I love these industrial lamps in the range of rainbow colors they come in ($99) — like the idea of adding a pop of unexpected color to a pristine white desk:

These seem to go hand-in-hand with a set of brightly-colored Luxembourg chairs ($395 each), though this style does not really mesh well with our more classic-leaning apartment. Maybe throw it in for relief / a pop of color? Though, if I’m going in that direction, I’d really like a set of Thonet Bentwood chairs in a bright color. (Or…these?! WOAH.)
