A few items on my radar at the moment…

I’m flying through Laurie Groff’s Fates and Furies. It’s wild — occasionally, an omniscient narrator will insert her opinion right into the text, using brackets to differentiate itself from the narrative, playing around with the authorial conventions used by playwrights in screenplay writing. The text itself is split in two, giving you first the perspective of the husband and second the perspective of the wife. Wild, wild, wild stuff, maybe more interesting for its novel techniques and rich allusiveness than for the somewhat lewd and disturbing plot lines. Next on the list is Aziz Ansari’s Modern Romance (I LOVED his Netflix show! — so surprisingly authentic and tender and insightful).

I got one of these Nars satin lip pencils ($26) as a gift from Sephora (in the Rikugien color) and OHMYGAH is it amazing. Staying power and glides on like a dream.

This cheeky muscle tee ($38) had me at hello, and this nightie — by the same brand — is hilarious. N’amastay in bed.

Quay shades are the new new. I like these clear ones ($50) and this cool mirrored pair ($50).
