OK, so I recently talked about all the pretty things on my spring shopping list, but I omitted the entire dresses-for-special-occasions category. I have a wedding at the end of April; Easter; a birthday gathering for my sister and her husband; and another wedding in June, and I’m pretty much hunting around for spring dresses like a pig looking for truffles at this point. (Hm, weird analogy.) Don’t these street style looks make you want to get dolled up for a spring event?!
Yes, yes, yes, and more yes.
+One of my very favorite styles I’ve come across is this lace stunner from Alexis ($595). Holy swoonfest.
+This flounce-y style from Rhode Resort ($365) is also stunning.
+Of course, can’t do a pretty dress round-up without a Self-Portrait, and this asymmetrical eyelet beauty would stop traffic ($510). And, P.S., if you snag this by tomorrow at midnight, you can get it for 20% off with code GOBIG17. (More Shopbop obsessions to snag with this code here.)
+Oh, Zimmermann ($695). And PS, if you sign up for their newsletter, you can get $50 off your first purchase. Just sayin. (More sizes here.)
More Affordable Easter Dress Finds…
+Love this tiered, scalloped dress in the prettiest shell pink color (on sale for $159).
+JOA off-the-shoulder striped dress ($98). Very similar to the pretty J.Crew frock I’ve already obsessed over (scroll down to “Show Me Your Stripes”).
+This yellow dress looks JUST like a Self-Portrait, but costs far less ($228). So gorgeous.
+The prettiest floral maxi — can’t get over that robin’s egg blue color ($238)!
+This J. Crew asymmetrical ruffle dress ($168) is the perfect canvas to dress up with statement heels or statement earrings. Love it in the pale pink.
+OTS, floral, and very Zimmermann-esque ($210). Get it for 15% off with code GOBIG17.
+Free People floral maxi ($168)
+I’m such a sucker for white eyelet ($148).
PS — Statement earrings would make a great companion piece for these looks.
PPS — Almost all of these would pair excellently with a straw basket bag.
PPPS — More good stuff updated in {Le Shop}.
That is SO funny you posted about this. I just called my sister yesterday panicking about a wedding I have at the end of April that is black tie, and I have completely blanked as to what that could (and does) mean. I wish I was going to a more casual affair, I love your suggestions above! That third picture from the top is how I would like to look always and forever lol.
I know! She is fashion goalz for reallll. I had the same dilemma since I’m going to a black tie wedding at the end of April. I say reach for something midi-length or longer and in a satin/silk (vs cotton). I am wearing this in a marigold yellow color (now sold out): http://rstyle.me/n/cgxunwyjd. But, a few other great evening-ready picks I considered:
+This Reformation dress, OMG: https://www.thereformation.com/products/gardner-dress-champagne
+This Flynn Skye romantic beauty: http://rstyle.me/n/cgxvgayjd
+Love the soft floral pattern of this nude/blush stunner: http://rstyle.me/n/cgxvhnyjd
+The bows on the shoulders (!!!): http://rstyle.me/n/cgxvjsyjd
You can see these all have a similar look + feel. xoxo
You are the best, thank you so so much!! That last one is AMAZING, I might have to give that one a try! And you have officially made me obsessed with Reformation, just an FYI lol, it’s so elegant.
UGH, I love it all! My one reservation with that label is that a lot of their necklines are super plunging/low…I’ve had to return two different styles because they were not the friendliest to those of us with more modest bust-lines! So, just a heads up. They do have a very generous shipping/return policy, though. xxx
