Do you remember that shady Disney movie, “Puff the Magic Dragon”?! WTH was that about it? It must have been “cutting edge” to blend animation with live action back then, because I also remember “Bedknobs and Broomsticks” coming out around the same time and had a similar style. Both were super trippy if you think back on them…
But anyhoo, I was reminded of this cadre of old school kids flicks because I realized I have a lot of dresses I’m currently dying over that I would describe as “pouf” or “puff” dresses. This metallic lovely from Alice + Olivia ($395) would be a dream for the holiday party circuit.
Ideal with these lace Jimmy Choo flats ($645) and this stunning embellished dragonfly clutch ($528):
I’m also bananas in love with this style (also Alice + Olivia – – I may have a problem…$395), which I dream about wearing with these resin vintage Chanel earrings ($325):
I’d finish with these elegant snakeskin Manolos ($935) with a Valentino roll clutch ($1695):
Mega swoon. Lastly, I just snapped up this PartySkirt by Skot skirt ($245 — the style shown below is a little darker gray than mine), which I plan to wear to Christmas dinner or something similar. The brand was started by two adorable sisters; read more about them here. I like this with a silky tank (Tibi, $158) and these Alexis Bittar drops ($345 — or check out this affordable pair!):
I love this look with these Alice + Olivia heels ($295) and this gorgeous clutch ($450):
And I would add this starred bracelet (on sale for $94):
What other holiday looks are on your radar?
Love this post, that Alice and Olivia dress is amazing! I already bought the Kate Spade Toast flats, I think they will be super cute during the holiday season!
