Cannot help myself when it comes to printed blouses and dresses this season — and the quirkier the print, the better. This fall, I managed to snag a Tucker smocked blouse-top dress in the most fabulous cobalt, black, and cream print (see here) and am ecstatically awaiting to debut it paired with black tights and black pumps. Goody goody gumdrops. Get the look yourself with this Aztec-inspired printed dress (also by Tucker — they just nail it every time! — $322, Shopbop), which I would pair with nude pumps (have currently been coveting the Louboutin Pigalle — $595, Barney’s) and a long statement necklace (this By Malene Birger style is on super sale — $35, MyWardrobe):
I’d finish with this lovely Anya Hindmarch tote ($1,595, Shopbop):
While vibing with this Navajo/Aztec print, consider this “blanket dress” by Built By Wendy ($315, Built By Wendy), which would look unexpectedly luxe with this stone-enhanced chain necklace ($70, Rachel Roy), black tights, and some black suede pumps (Dolce Vita, $172, Zappos):
Finish with a gold cuff ($175, Endless) and a polished black shopper bag ($169, Zara):
For weekend wear, I love all of the kitschy printed blouses that Parker, Tucker, and the like have been issuing. Cannot.get.enough. Consider one of these blouses (on sale for $145, Calypso Celle):
Paired with dark skinnies, captoe flats (love this red and cognac combo — on sale for $222, LaGarconne)
Finish with a classic brown leather clutch ($50, American Apparel — it comes in DOZENS of amazing colors and is the perfect size and weight):
I’d finish with enorma-studs ($36, Rachel Roy), an oversized gold watch (Michael Kors, $250, Shopbop), and for a little fierceness, this Pamela Love spiked bangle ($390, Net-A-Porter):
I’m specifically eying short, printed skirts like this Opening Ceremony gem ($345, Barney’s), which would look pitch-perfect with a black blouse (DVF, $271, Boutique1) and a collar necklace (MUST.OWN. — $60, TopShop):
Finish with black tights and some black booties (these House of Harlows just went on sale, and are sick — $206, Shopbop):
I’d round it all off with the Proenza Schouler PS11 clutch ($975, Proenza Schouler), which is obv going to be another obsession amongst the sartorial jet-set crowd.
Now, this is some serious dreamwear, but check out this Peter Pilotto printed shift ($1,543, Farfetch). The colors and design are just so…now. I’d rock it with a collar necklace (I’ve been eying this Marni style, which just arrived at TheOutnet — $82, TheOutnet):
Ideal with some fierce Alaia booties (I’m a girl on a mission, now that I’ve seen and coveted a pair spotted in Intermix…I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to “visit” with them and drool over their perfection — $1,148, Boutique1) and this uh-may-zing jaguar-imprint velvetine clutch (Marc Jacobs, $385, MyTheresa):
Or, how about this peacock-hued shift dress (Tibi, $325, Net-A-Porter)? Love the marbleized print and kaleidoscopic coloring, especially with this eye-catching pendant-style necklace ($420, Dannijo):
Draw out that citrine yellow hue with this ultra-cov Proenza Schoulder ipad case, which I’d totes wear as a clutchski ($685, Proenza Schouler — and while you’re at it, check out the bold poppy orange color…TDF.), and finish with some simple neutral pumps (Stuart Weitzman, $325, Zappos):
Last but not least, my favorite print of them all: the polka dot. Try it in blouse dress format ($275, Barney’s) with this tiger’s eye accented necklace (TDF — $125, TopShop):
Finish with these eye-catching tortoise pumps ($625, Rupert Sanderson) and this perfectly coordinating clutch (DVF, $325, Intermix):
