Great sweaters are a MUST for winter in Chicago (though, truth be told, it’s been delightfully mild so far — I’ve been able to run almost every day I’ve wanted to! The cut off is 28 degrees. Anything lower, I will NOT DO IT.) I love the cool-chic way these ladies have styled their sweaters, gracefully avoiding the “bulk” knits can so often add.
Hence my obsession with this studded TopShop lovely ($125) — so punk-cool. I could see Kate Moss sporting this. Inspired by the second photo above, I’d pair with some rad bell-bottoms — I actually JUST snagged this pair from hot denim line Frame Denim (on sale for $143!, plus 25% off with code BONUS25)
Finish with one of these epic Chloe bags ($1,950):
The only thing I can’t figure out is what the hell to wear with flares in the shoe department. A pointed toe looks so 90s; you almost need a clog or round toe. I’m on the hunt but an open to your suggestions, friendlies. Something like this pair of Aquazzuras ($775) would be PARFAIT, but let’s be honest, that ain’t happening for the next 6 months here in Chicago.
Also digging this fringed/textured tunic sweater ($98), which I’d pair with leather jeans (Frame, $950 — or get the look for less with these) and some ombre suede heels (Manolo Blahnik, $695):
Finish with an amazing bucket bag (still love this Sophie Hulme, $695):
I also love the high-fashion shape of this knit ($148), which I’d wear with J. Brand flares ($220):
Same problem with footwear…what does one wearrrr?! Clogs are back in but these seem intimidating.

+This fair isle sweater is adorable — love it in the sky blue combo ($98).
+The heathered orchid knit sweater is so cozy ($159).
+Love this Aztec print blanket sweater thing ($183). Or get the look for less with this BBDakota find ($63).
